Hi there. My first bible was the 1975 KJV Open Bible. I’m now starting to read and collect other bible versions. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

I use the coloring Bible as my "take a break" Bible. I bought my one and only Inspire Bible over a year ago and I haven't finished separating the pages yet! It's in the NIV, which is also not high on my list of preferred translations, and because I bought the large print, it requires a large lap tray to comfortably use it. And, it's extremely hot and humid here in the summer which makes using a lap tray very uncomfortable, so my coloring is usually done in the winter months. Our temperatures are finally cooler so I will be able to dust off my coloring books and finish separating the pages of the Inspire Bible, and do a little grownup coloring! I just pray my hands will hold up this year because my arthritis has decided to get worse. Maybe I will try to use my left hand. That would be quite entertaining!

Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate your reviews & opinions. The past 40 yrs my go to translation has been NKJV. The past year I've been reading other translations. I only have 1 premium Bible with the Apocrypha only it isn't red letter which is my preference. I gifted a person in the nursing home my favorite Bible was a large print which she needed (I've had cataract surgery so not a necessity anymore). Since returning to my Catholic faith I was raised in have decided to only purchase new Bibles as CE or have the Apocrypha. I so appreciate you also reviewing them & prayer books. Wishing you & yours a very Happy Thanksgiving 💕🙏

Good statement about having a oversize Bible collection. I only have small collection, so of course I feel insecure when looking at other's collections. My local book store has been a big temptation for me to haul Bibles. However, I feel that the Bibles would get a better usage from other people than for them to be sitting in my room collecting dust.

Amen only purchase when you have a purpose for it. That's what I do there's 4 right now that I would love to have in my collection but nooo purpose so I won't buy any of them until I do. But that's just what works for me

My heart hurts you feel insecure because you might not own as many Bibles as others. 😭

I have many Bibles - mostly standard ones. My most used and written ones are the life application study Bible (NIV) from 1990 and the open bible (NKJV) also from 1990. One of the things I love and appreciate is that they were both printed in the US. In 2024 I learned about premium bibles and got a Nelson NKJV in large print in goatskin. Then I heard about Humble Bibles and felt they were too rich for me. But then they did a start up for the NLT and I couldn’t resist and so it will be coming in rose gold in January 2025. Then I got in on a deal for the a refresh on the KJV Lion and got the sage green and have it in my possession. And recently they did a refresh on the NKJV and I ordered coral. It should ship very soon. I might get the HIStory (ESV) when they refresh it. But I think I’m done. Read a compact NLT this year and I have to say this version held my attention best of any of those in my collection. I agree that my life application Bible is the one I would grab in a fire or other disaster. I’ve considered getting a new one and retire the old one. But I do use it almost daily because it is so full of information. I also got 2 Bible dictionaries this year. One is vintage and the other one is new. They are really good when you want to do a deep dive on a topic. I also have 2 creative Bibles, one with wide margins I take to church for sermon notes and have covered inside with stickers and several “read in a year”. One I don’t have but think I’ll get is a chronological version and maybe do that one for 2025. Do you have one you’d recommend?

I’m not into spending money on premium Bibles, the inside is what I need not something fancy to show off.
