Thank you - very helpful! Although I have a number of linguistic resources, I didn't have some of the ones you've shown. I've picked up a few tips about finding my Notes on the Exegetical Guide, and the 'hover over' for the Hebrew. Really appreciated this video!

Didn't see BDAG as one of your go-to word study tools. Any reason? Thanks. Love all of your diagramming videos as well!

Love your Logos videos. Could you create a video on how you use the The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. Thank you

Yes, I can do that. I will put it in the queue!

I will definitely try to do that.

Thank you for sharing. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I would really like to see your Library Priority List. Bibles, Lexicons, Commentaries...
@DrJackHughes10 ай бұрын
I might be able to do that to some degree. When I am going to study a book, I get the best commentaries on that book. Some are found in series, others are stand alone. So depending on the book I am preaching through, the list would change, but I do have favorite resources for Word studies, and in the video I show you what I actually use. I often go from less technical resources to more technical, except when using commentaries. I always start with critical commentaries, then go to expositional commentaries, then I might finish up with some devotional commentaries.

My library priority list changes, depending on what I am studying. So if I am studying Revelation, I have all the best commentaries that take a literal, grammatical, historical approach up front, but when I switch to study I Corinthians, I have a different priority list. It often takes time and trial and error to discover what commentaries are best.

Thanks for the insights! How do you determine the correct definition to be used "In Context" of a specific verse when the word has multiple definitions and usages?
@DrJackHughes9 ай бұрын
Lexicons and theological dictionaries give you "the range of possible meanings" but the near context of the text you are studying determines the meaning of a word.

Is enhanced strong’s lexicon still available on logos? I have the “enhanced brown driver Briggs Hebrew and English lexicon” but I can’t find the resource you are recommending anywhere.

I don't think it is any more. I got it many years ago, but apparently they no longer offer it.

Which one of the resources you use on Logos
@DrJackHughes10 ай бұрын
I have about 10,000 logos resources and use all the ones I recommended in the video.
