I thought the news was moving! That is a pretty part of CA. I have friends that lives in Arroyo Grande. When I was in Thousand Oaks we'd meet in Santa Barbara and go thrifting. Yes there's thrift stores! I've been watching that sewing channel too. She thrifts the fabrics. You may enjoy Evelyn Woods channel too. She teaches and gives sewing tips as well as restructing thrifted clothing. I think both are in Australia. Congrats on your home and your plans!!!

Congrats on the house! I totally understand what it is like to have a child and not live near any family. We've been without any family, babysitters or help for the past 3 years so far, and it's incredibly hard. And with Covid, there has been zero trips to Florida to visit our family, unfortunately. I love designing and making my own clothes and have been doing it off and on since 2014 when I first learned to sew. I post some of my work on my Instagram. I have been making more time for that in my days and weeks and it's been really therapeutic for me during this time. I am always inspired and impressed by others when I see what they are creating too. The collar looks amazing on you. I haven't gotten into those much on myself, but I love them on other people! Maybe I will make one for myself just for fun and for a new project.

You need to try EcoVessel. They have a three walled installation which keeps colder and warmer longer. The have a small silicone mouthpiece and an a bigger opening to pour in your liquid. They also have a strainer for tea leaves or infusion fruits or whatever. And they’re recyclable and guaranteed for a 100 years so I bought one for all my friends.

I mean, what else could the surprise have been? I thought, either they're buying a house, or moving, or both. Bingo! I bought my home base at the end of December and I am so thankful I was able to get it. My husband and I also use those exact words, "HOME BASE." We met overseas and he is overseas now, so as soon as I get my vaccine I can hopefully join him...hopefully in May or June. I work at a university, so I am on the vaccine list, so...we'll see. It'll be nice to be close to family too for you guys, that is a blessing.

I graduated from high school in 1985, so I just can't with the big collars. I've already gone down the pilgrim collar road. Well, maybe you can buy a horse after the move! Congratulations! I was born in Bakersfield. My mother used to take us to the bluffs above Kern River to hunt for shark’s teeth. Yes, it can definitely be a process! I feel the same way about my journey to being more secure in my relationships. I agree, alone-time is so important!
