Small correction: The Kolache didn't become Texas' favorite cake 'because' it was popular in Europe, it became famous in Texas because of the communities of Czech and German immigrants that made North-Western Texas their home. That section of the state is known for kolaches and other traditional Czech foods because the traditions were brought over and kept alive, and the locals fell in love with the food.

Not just Northwest Texas. Central, and Southeast Texas as well. The kolač was introduced to Texas by Czech immigrants in the 19th century.

Czech honey cakes 🤤.. if anybody gets a chance to visit this place bring back home some to your friends and family. It's a flavour bomb. I usually get the Marlenka honey cakes classic and chocolate.
