Love favourites videos, thank you! Some of my favourite pencil colours are Foliage, Forest, Magenta, Nightshade, cherry red, sun yellow, dark honey, golden sun, amber gold, light ultramarine and ocean blue dark in Derwent Lightfast. (Foliage is THE best natural sap green in a pencil!) Olive Yellow, Spring Green, Dark Sap green, Dark indigo, Ultramarine, Middle Cobalt blue, Cadmium yellow, sepia, and purplish red in Luminance, May green, permanent green olive, chromium oxide green, middle Phathlo blue, pink madder lake, magenta and fuchsia from Polychromos. Like you, I also love chocolate and Chinese white in the drawing pencils, but also find myself reaching for the yellow ochre and ink blue quite a bit. I also love: lemon lime in the derwent chromaflow range, it’s my perfect chartreuse colour!

Ahhhh this comment makes me so happy! I just checked my pencil time and I have Foliage, I’m popping it to one side to give it a go! Thank you for the suggestion, I adore sap greens!! Oh my goodness I’m going to have to save these shades I don’t have and have a nosy (very dangerous!!). Thank you so much for your lovely words!! Happy drawing too, much love 🫶

Ooooooo I'm gonna have to check out that Lemon Lime Chromaflow! I don't have any Chromaflows because, well, I have a literal shit ton of pencils and just don't need any more. But open stock is a thing.......😂

I feel this on a personal level…don’t need any more pencils…but I’m so easily enticed 👀 it’s their fault for being so pretty and I can’t resist 😬😅

So far, my favorite colored pencil is the Derwent Inktense, but I haven't used all my others enough to give that much credence.

Oooo I genuinely haven’t tried this formula! Are these water soluble? Any favourite colours? 🫶

Can i just say THANK YOU! I use colored pencils apparently the "wrong" way. At least, according to every colored pencil tutorial here on YT. I just dont see the point in spending thousands of hours building up millions of super light layers of various colors to create an apple, or a face, or whatever until you finally do a thick burnishing layer. That makes no sense to me. It doesnt create depth, there are no light rays bouncing through and back out, and once you burnish the top all those millions of layers are pointless. And watching you do that eye in a SENSIBLE few layers gave me a little validation. And also, that Derwent Drawing White IS LITERALLY THE BEST WHITE! Those would top my Luminance for favorite pencils of all time if they made more than that 24 set. Which I love and cherish, but it just cant do everything i need it to.

Awwww that’s such a lovely comment 🥹 I’m so glad you feel validated! There is NO right and wrong in art! I’ve done the many layers and it just took the fun out of it! I like to keep things “painterly” and seeing all of the layers and materials! Plus I’m heavy handed nowadays 😅 my light layers aren’t very light anymore!! You enjoy art YOUR way my lovely!! Don’t let anyone tell you there is anything wrong about it! 💛 it’s not just the end result thats important, it’s the process too! And the enjoyment it gives you!! Also yes to the Derwent white! Let’s start an appreciation club for it!! 🤣🫶

Polychromo fiber castel are they wax based or oil.i thought they wax but on another channel she said oil.ive looked on boxes I have but cannot see which.
@feverfrolic26 күн бұрын
@@judithtrigg1694 they are oil based, but have a waxier texture if that makes sense! Opposed to the powdery nature of pastel pencils! Hope this helps 🫶

Truly enjoyed the video.🥰 It didn't disappoint in any way. Your example drawing is outstanding. A tattoo artist... hum. Well I probably won't take that path although I would love to acquire a your skills. Providing descriptions of each color, explaining its purpose in your art work, and giving the reason for liking the product was great. Also, thank you for mentioning colors that paired well (little sister) as it assists with creating combinations. I have full sets of polychomos, Derwent drawings and colorsoft. Luminance are my current favorites although I only have approximately half of the Lightfast and Luminance pencils available. I had argument, with myself, about the price since I already own several sets of expensive pencils I don't use. I've been watching videos to decided which twenty I should purchase next. A commenter mentioned using Derwent Inktense. I have the original 72 set of Inktense and Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer. Do you use water soluble pencils/mediums? Great Video, looking forward to seeing more on your channel. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Don't let anyone steal you sparkle. There are a lot of people who don't feel good about themselves & like to tear down those who do. Personally, I think sparkle adds to art pieces....
