Hi Shel, i absolutely love all of your 10 Stunning pictures, i love so much the 2 bottles with the amazing Greens crystal at the top of the tall ones and the one you have color from Tomislav Tomic are so Gorgeous Please if somedays you feel to color the Fantastic Castle on the next page you've color Please, please do a color along tutorial i would be so Grateful Y& Thankfull because i absolutely adore your style of coloring pages andlearn from you is a huge life Gift. The Nelco Neco book all of these pictures are amazing love this book so much i only color the if you do a color along and the elements you'vre color for the Autumn series which i really adore to go it's a fantastic guide for me and it's so helpful big hugs having creasted this series and your keys are so Beautiful love the Gold colors you've created, to me before seen your fantastic tutorial i haven't any idea on how to achieved a great Gold looking on my pages but know i use your techniques and it's Awesome being so satisfied of the final result for the first pages you've show well the one you color first as Bokey which i just can't created a Background but the ones you've color is stunning really i absolutely love the final; result that's look rich and pup-up your Design so well you've created a fantastic Background dear Shel , love Teresa Goodridge so much i'm more then please you might color more of these pages, i had all of Her coloring books and the first one Rita Berman just WOW! this double pages is a real piece of Art to me, i love, love thisd picture and so Glad you've made tutorial well not shure cause theirs a lot to say about these Magnificent pictures but i really hope so because i fellin love with everythings from this double pages and to finish the last one World without the World from kerby Rosane this is Fabulius thye Bumblebees are stunning and love this picture very much and Flora love this one a swell very mcuh, that would be so great if it's not to complicated to do if you could aded to the right corners the tutorials you've made from these pictures you've show because it's much more easier to click and watch the tutorial then search which one i wan't to seen after the video because i forget very fast sadly but as i say only if it;s not complicated. I can see why each of these pages are favorites of yours as they are all beautiful, but when you opened the Karlzon book to the page with the black and gold background, I was just blown away!

I love all of your pages Shelly, but I was particularly impressed by the page from 'Daydreams'. Even though the background wasn't what you had originally envisaged, I think it's perfect for the page and really makes the colours in the illustration pop.

I'm always curious about what book inspired people to start coloring. I had actually purchased a couple of Kirby's books previously and never colored in them.. I just thought the art was amazing. Back then I was painting and kept thinking about tracing out one of his pages onto proper watercolor paper, but never broke down and did it because.. that's a LOT of line work. You don't even realize how detailed they are until you really start drawing it out. So they sat around for a few years before I finally gave them away during a declutter. What got me going back to pencil media though was Mythographic. Specifically Joseph Catambangs books. I've since repurchased six of Kirby's books.. but STILL haven't colored in them LOLOL. The reason is that they are double sided, and big, with lots of double spreads.. and I have rather serious joint issues. The pain after doing so much is just crippling, and it takes me at least a week to recover. My Mythographics I can use alcohol marker base that takes out a lot of the actual pencil work but it's impossible on double pages, and although I've tried waterbased marker many times I never get a result I'm happy with so I didn't want to ruin them. I've recently branched into watercolor pencil and inktense though so perhaps in the near future. I've done several pages recently in my Johanna Basford books with those and done a lot better with my hands and was happy enough with the end result... they were avoided for the same issue.. double sided and big. I've told myself NO more double sided books until I color the ones I have.. in fact no more books at all... except for Mythographic they get a special exception. I just picked up the new one yesterday that is astrology themed and it's beautiful. I really need to do another declutter and give away a bunch of the books I have so I focus on the ones I really want to do, it's just so easy to get influenced by YT and collect them even though I know how long it actually takes to finish one.

Ah yes, Kerby's pages have a lot going on and the double spreads are a massive project to take on. I can only imagine how it must affect you if you do get pain using pencils on such large illustrations. The Mythographic books are wonderful....despite being so busy, they are still possible to tackle like you said with markers and I use my watercolour pencils for basing a lot too. Hope you find a way to use your watercolours and intense to make it easier for you in double sided books!! ☺️💗

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with my Rita Berman books. I like the designs, and they make me think of the design elements from the past especially the 60-70's and It's a Small World (I can't recall the designer off the top of my head, Mary something) so it has a bit of a childhood feeling to me. However I bought them thinking "nice easy smaller pages" and they are anything but. When you get in there, there are so many little details and layers to deal with. Takes me forever to finish one and I"m constantly challenged with the depth and variation of subject in the same page. There is also a lot of repetition between her books with extremely similar layouts and designs, sometimes identical pages.I only have two, and I'm glad I stopped there.

I totally agree that there are some pages in Rita Berman's books that do take a while to complete. But I do feel she has a good mix between the busy pages and some simpler ones to tackle. I do enjoy her art style. Her books were amongst the first ones I bought in my colouring journey and I still find myself enjoying them to date. ☺️💗
