Love it! Simple hardscape but very effective! Love the Cichlids! As a Cichlid lover and owner, I really appreciate this setup! Great job George! I enjoyed the process of this setup since day one! THANK YOU for the video update! As always a beautiful home you have!

Simplicity isn’t always boring. I love this tank and the old style you had in your discus tank as well. Gives a very elegant look while still being fish friendly. Thanks for the update, I do enjoy these types of videos :)

By far my favorite tank of yours as well. The simplicity of a no plant rock only scape seems very "freeing" if that makes sense! Love that whole set up. Especially the fish!

Love the house and the way the scapes are laid out! That old discus scape is looking amazing! It’s getting close to being my favorite scape you’ve done! The aquascaper 1200 is still #1! I look forward to seeing what fish you choose to add to it!

This tank really makes me want to set up an African cichlid tank as well. I was recently "on holiday" as you say and I saw a giant outdoor tank with thousands of these fish. Animal Kingdom in Florida, which is one of the Disney parks, had an outdoor cichlid pond with a single hippopotamus in it. It was really cool to see and it reminded me of this aquarium!

I love that tank, too. You definitely inspired me to start with African cichlids. I now have a shelldweller tank. I really appreciate their unique personalities and activity compared to some of the standard community fish I've kept. Those community fish certainly have their quirks, especially the cichlids and gouramis, but there's something about my multis that is just so adorable. Very personable fish. Wishing you good health and success, George. Take care.

Nive Video again. I like the color an the behaviour of the cichlids too. But honestly - i would prefer a Community of lake tanganjika wich is maybe a litte less colorful but with much more exciting behaviour. Greetings from Germany.

This video has inspired me to rescape my (American) cichlid tank. I feel like too many rocks (completely covered by Java ferns and other epiphytes) have taken up valuable fish space.

He concluded he couldn't give the Discus the care they needed.
@robdavinroy17612 жыл бұрын
@@ericplunder2744 Thanks for the update. Interesting. Most people in the hobby cannot afford to purchase a school of adult discus, let alone afford a big enough tank to take care of them properly. I have had discus for years and I do not find them difficult to take care of, as long as you change the water every week and keep the temperature high. I suspect someone may have given them to George, and perhaps his busy schedule did not afford him the time to do the water changes.

You know the synodontis deliberately lay their eggs near where the mbuna do so that they will collect their eggs also? then the synodontis fry hatch in the mbuna female mouth and eat the mbuna eggs.
