This walk is a little more personal. Where do I begin. My brother and sister in law had their wediding reception at Bloor and St. George at U of T Woman's Alumni Club. I was told a couple of days later I had a really good time. The Bala Shoe Museum nearby was a gas station. And they were married at St Paul's just below Bloor and Bathurst. Who knew 33 years later they would be 8 subways stops away living from that spot. 1988. Just locating to Toronto, one of my friends said let's go to The Korona for City Chicken. Koreatown back then was Hungarian. And although I am not of Hungarian heritage (not far off) I am of East Euro heritage so your walk, John, does bring back memories. 9:39. Bloor and Brunswick. Who remembers the Brunswick House? My Dad tells me he spend many hours drinking bad beer and sing the Green Grass of Home on stage. I recall the bathrooms flooding when I went there. Both my Father and Sister in law are U of T Grads. Great walk, John. Thank you.

It is the coolest neighbourhood because I lived, worked, partied there. Yorkville a bit east of the Annex, Rochdale to get the weekly pot supply, the Brunswick Hotel, the Goulash pot, another Hungarian restaurant closed earlier this year. What's there left? Not much. Honest Ed's gone too. Do they still feature Rock concerts at Varsity Stadium? The cool places are gone. Thanks for the walk, the memories. Great video.

You sure can speed walk. It is not really apparent until you keep passing people as you come along behind them. It is all good..ty

You keep walking past the former Rochdale College on Bloor at Huron and not mentioning it! (I lived there for several months in 1969 or '70. Not at all as bad as its reputation.)

I talked about it in a lot of older videos.. it gets tiring bringing up the same talking points over and over. I'm done with mentioning it lol

Toronto is the hand that feeds me, but I need to ignore what a depressing dump it is in order to be able to live here.

@@zigzag00 The size is part of it. It's ugly urban sprawl.
