Thanks for the demo. The pedal has some fuzz-like characteristics that make it harmonically interesting. Also great hearing your pick-free technique - lotta tone coming from those fingers.

My favourite too. Been on my board for years as main meat and potatoes clean/crunch, replacing the BB-Preamp (which is also really nice). Try running a red fuzz face mini into it - that’s the best fuzztone I’ve ever had. Completely preserves the hoarse and spittyfuzz nature but fills in all the right places, adds clarity and mids without compromising the growl, tightens up the bottom end AND cleans up super nice. It’s NOT a stacked squashed feeling it simply sounds like a fuzz that finally sits right in the live mix. That combo is an overlooked potential classic

Yes, I do the same thing. I find it makes a fuzz pedal sound fuller and enhances its tone. Cheers!

@@GUITARSGIZMOS Nice what kind do you go with?

@@whynottalklikeapirat I have a couple from Fjord Fuzz that I like, and especially the Odin. But I just published a video yesterday were I use a silicon Fuzz from Vulk Audio (also a Norwegian brand). I really dig that one, and I had it going into the Sweet Honey. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmaQiGl6hat6f9E)

@@GUITARSGIZMOS Yeah man that’s an awesome tone - sweet , hoarse, spitty but with a defined singy edge and pickup cut. Very much up my alley 👍

How does it compare to the Royal Blue OD?
@GUITARSGIZMOS2 жыл бұрын
Hi, I find them to be quite similar, and it is a bit hard to describe tone qualities. If I should have a go, I'd say that the Royal Blue offers a bit more clarity to the tone and that the Sweet Honey is warmer and smoother in a sense. Hope that helps 🙂 Cheers, Thor

I have this in the Joyo “Sweet Baby” clone which is 95% the same. I don’t think this demo with the Strat does the pedal justice…too much bass. Maybe it’s just the way it was recorded.

I use the Tone City "Sweet Cream," which is also a clone. It's my secret weapon pedal.

Fingers tend to be bassier and have less transient attack compared to a plectrum. Probably whats going on here. I found it pretty bassy too. Nonetheless, good tone and playing
