While I've never been on broadway, I've done many productions and in really funny scenes, we get out all the laughs during like the first 5 rehearsals and occasionally after but by tech week all the laughs are out as we are in character. Although sometimes it is hard to keep straight faces once the audience laughs haha!

I watched Encanto before Heathers and I find the freezing style a bit like Encanto as well.
