Yes - Awaken 9. Neal Morse Band - Alive Again 10. K2 - Chapter 1: Infinite Voyage Great video as always and keep up the good work 👏

I'm really late to this video, but great list! One of my favorite prog epics that I never hear mentioned anywhere is A Dangerous Journey by Ritual. It's 30 minutes of inventive, joyful fun that feels like 10. Criminally underrated.

Great list! "I am the Sun" is especially overlooked, even by a lot of TFK fans it seems, so it's great to see it getting some love. Also nice to see someone batting for the current era of Gong - yeah, they're not the same as they were with Daevid at the helm, but they're great in their own way, and bloody brilliant live! When I think of underrated epics, a few that immediately spring to mind are: The Tangent - A Place in the Queue Hatfield and the North - Mumps Bubu - El Cortejo de un Día Amarillo Focus - Hamburger Concerto Weidorje - Elohim's Voyage Jan Dukes de Grey - Sun Symphonica Zamla Mammaz Manna - The Fate ...Oh I could go on and on ad infinitum but I should probably shut up and get back to work now!

This is a great list! I love that track by The Flower Kings (1 of, if not my favorite actually) Rush and Spock's Beard also favorites. The Great Nothing specifically was at least partially inspired by my favorite musician, Kevin Gilbert. I can appreciate your reasons for higlighting The Sky Moves Sideways as well as that piece can be rather therapeutic and calming. I've never heard of Sagobrus but that clip you played sound really good! And the Gong piece I should also hear as I enjoy some Gong, but have not heard their newest record. Epics?..and they have to be 15 minutes or longer? there are dozens of course. I guess 2 come to mind, and both are pieces that are separated into tracks under the same title. Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick Fates Warning - A Pleasant Shade of Gray they are both sprawling works, but still work best listened to beginning to end if that makes sense.

Thank you for all the good recommendations! I'm glad you mentioned The Pineapple Thief, they are fantastic. I love the album from them Tightly Unwound. I'd recommend you listen to the last track from that album it's called To much to lose...it's a 15 minute track 😉. Also from Pineapple Thief check out the song Preparation for Meltdown....it's so heavy for them and I know you will love it.

Yes you are spot on with Oldfield, the melodic invention is beautiful throughout. I promise to check out part 1❗Did Procol Harum's In Held Twas I make it? I've always preferred to keep the idea of progressive alongside that of Prog though I accept the latter might be tighter and useful. Love listening to people who want to talk about music, I can never understand those who don't feel the need to talk about music.

A great one that I listen to over and over is Milliontown by Frost, from the album of the same name. I just love the instrumentals in it, especially the last 7 or so minutes.

I was wondering what the heck happen when the sound stopped!?... i dont get the copyright laws on this site, bands should be glad someone is talking about them, its FREE publicity! Not the 1st time im recommending this band and tbh i dont really remember your opinion on them but since im listening to them almost everyday for a month now, those two 1st album of Faith No More with Mike Patton are AMAZING!! (The Real Thing and Angel Dust). Trying to avoid listening to NIN and MM, my mom died last month and i feel like if i listen to the Downward Spiral it will not be good for my mental health!... i know it will get better with time... i hope!?

Love Porcupine Tree and The Pineapple Thief! One song that comes to mind is Astra - The Weirding. Also always gotta shout out an Aussie band, Arcane - Known/Learned is a double album, lots of long songs with the title track Learned clocking in over 22 mins. Unfortunately this was Arcanes last album, just as I discovered them as is always the way, but the singer is now with Caligula's Horse. A video idea to do might be any bands you've gotten into from recommendations on the channel, it's always fun to know if you've spread a great band to someone else!
