Very good video however, you omitted to mention that caution is required cycling over wet dead leaves. Could lead to a crash (I speak from experience). Subbed

Another great video, Paul. Hope it inspires people to cycle through autumn. “Lights” - totally agree with you. Numpties who think it’s not cool to have lights! I ride early mornings in Weymouth and surrounding areas and I see (because I have lights) so many young cyclists with no lights and dark clothing - why?

Not really any special autumn prep for me. Tokyo summers are too hot for riding, so autumn marks a return to the bike. Depending on the temps I might wear a long-sleeved jersey or opt for an inner liner under a short-sleeve jersey with UV sleeves. I do make sure the lights are charged. Temps in the autumn here can range from about 12C all the way up to 30C. It's just late summer now so if it ever falls below 35C I'll try the Tama River cycling course to see if any spider lilies remain.

Thank you. A really nice video - it made me look forward to autumn. I strongly agree regarding lights. My touring bike & Brompton both have hub dynamos, but I still take extra lights, enough to get me home, even if I don't plan to be out after dark. I use a Carridice bag and rack similar to yours on my road bike. Toe clip straps on the top of the bag are useful to take an extra water bottle on very hot days and a rolled up jacket on cold/wet ones.

@@kekqq autumn can go down to almost freezing with a chill wind so that’s what we are taking into account 👍 it’s about being prepared for more changeable weather

It's only sub zero/ icy conditions that stop you from riding - otherwise can ride all year with the right kit.
