These are lovely styles that can be dressed up or down. I've had rayon trousers and they are great; however I'm not a fan of linen because it wrinkles too easily and always looks rumpled.

Great video. Thank you so much. I tried the Free Range pattern and it is a good one. I hacked it by taking out side panel and that worked well. On a side note gotta recommend the button up top pattern by B Patterns. It looks good with those type pants.

I love my Winslow culottes. I just bought the Arden pants pattern from Helen’s Closet can’t wait to try them. My favorite big 4 pants pattern is Simplicity 8846.

Loved this as I love all of your videos!! You really have an eye for prints. I think if I would see those prints, I would keep on walking, but you have such talent to imagine how they will look made up into a pant. I wish I had that talent. Thank you so much! The day I filmed this we had a sunny winters day here, about 16 degrees c so not too bad! It's rainy, windy and cold now at about 9 degrees

Kristen, How did you know I was just needing this video?!! I was thinking of buying the Free Range today and trying them out! My daughter actually wants a pair as well. I am planning on using a rayon/linen (Brussels Washer). Would you say size down since they might stretch out a bit? Thanks, as always, for your awesome content!

Christy Campbell just sewn them (the wider leg option) and personally I would use the finished garment size to judge what size to sew as they were roomy all over which doesn’t matter too much on the waist (elastic gathered band) but makes them feel a bit oversized on hips and legs.

Yes, thanks for that @suesue929 they are quite a roomy fit and depending on which fabric you use and the amount of drape!
