Hey everyone! I recently found out I have a huge fibroid, and I wanted to share my story with you all. You may have heard me mention this in passing in some of my try-on hauls when my clothes aren't fitting quite right 🙈 In this video, I talk about the symptoms I had, how I finally got diagnosed, and what it's been like dealing with it emotionally and physically. If you're curious about fibroids or going through something similar, you're not alone! I hope my experience can help or at least give you some support and insight. It has definitely been a tough thing for me to navigate, as I have never really had any major health issues thus far. Join me as I navigate this unexpected health journey and share tips for managing fibroids. Let’s get through this together.

It is very brave and generous of you to share your story. I dealt with similar circumstances for almost two decades which ended up turning into the big c. I have tried to tell people with similar symptoms to take it seriously and check it out thoroughly but it's hard to provide hopeful advice without sounding like a downer. I think with your video, those who are drawn to it can get your valuable insight. All the best for your speedy recovery.

Hey Jess. Just finished watching your video. So sorry to hear about this. I found out I had 2 when I was pregnant but they were small. I didn’t realized how common they were until I talked about mine on Social Media. I learned so much that I realized how lucky I was even to be pregnant. Wishing you a full recovery experience and that you can get back to your normal self.

I feel for you. I totally understand the body dysmorphia! Living in Canada I’m lucky that I can see my gynaecologist yearly. They found a fibroid/polyp early so she was able to take it out right there. I get how you feel and the struggle with insecurity about your body and how it can affect us. If it helps, I honestly think you look awesome. It will all work out.

Don't worry Jessica. When I was 34 I had trouble getting pregnant and it was bc of multiple fibroids. I had a myomectomy and eventually had 2 big healthy babies. This was many years ago and my babies are all grown up .

🌸🌸🌸Thank you for coming out and sharing your story! I know it will help lots of women, I’m sure! While I don’t have fibroids, I do have a few other fabulous health issues to deal with (sarcasm…) including severe chronic back pain (and major claustrophobia…). So I know exactly how you feel about MRIs. In fact I was getting anxious just listening to your MRI story. I also have a tiny brain tumor on my hypothalamic gland and when you have a MRI on your head, they clamp you in this head thingy and it’s just horrible. I need to knock myself out with Valium just to walk in the door of a MRI office! But back to you, sharing this is going to help so many and it speaks to your character for doing so. I have a very calm feeling about you and your procedure. I know everything with be ok. So I’m sending love and positive thoughts to you and your loved ones😁 It will be ok and this will be behind you before you know it! xx🌸🌸🌸

😢I am so,so sorry to hear you have been suffering so much from this fibroid, dear Jessica. I can see how much it is affecting you, physically and mentally. It is true, much of the female population will develop fibroids on their lifetime. Mine is very small, has not grown in the last few years. Thank goodness. I have a pap smear every year and keep an eye on it. I am glad you are taking it out. Be patient and trust the process. Yes, the MRI process is not fun. The trick of the pillow under your knees is a great way to diminish the lower back pain, great advice. I certainly hope this nightmare will end soon. Keep us posted, please. We love you Jessy!!! 🙌🏼💕🥰

Oh my gosh girl, I went through this 10 years ago. Same as you I noticed my abdomen was extended and I felt hardness/heaviness down there. The pain was terrible! It felt like stabbing pain. They found one fibroid that just started growing like crazy, it encompassed my entire uterus. It grew to the size of a five month pregnancy and the tumor was 3 lbs. People were asking me if I was pregnant and although I knew it was the fibroid it still made me so upset! I wore flowy tops for a while to avoid that. I ended up getting Lupron shots which sends your body into early menopause which wasn’t fun (hot flashes ugh) but it did shrink down the tumor since it cut off the estrogen that was feeding it. I ended up having a myomectomy surgery to remove it which was basically like a c section to take it out. Robotic surgery wasn’t an option since it was so freaking huge! I feel for you, I know exactly what you’re going through. You’ll feel so much better once it’s gone and those awful periods will return to normal. You’re in my thoughts! ❤❤
@erical7051

I totally forgot to mention the MRI! I’m not joking, that was worse than the actual surgery to remove the fibroid! I was in there for a freaking hour and a half. Same as you I was so HOT and the pain for laying still was excruciating, it was from the tumor. I was in there crying and knew I couldn’t move. It took everything in me to not hit that button to be pulled out. Once I was out I sat up and the pain immediately went away and I starting bawling. It was traumatic. Nothing was a bad as that!! For real! I also wanted to tell you that they told me to have kids asap because of the likelihood of reoccurrence. I was 32 at the time and never had kids but the fibroids didn’t return either! I hope that’s encouraging to you. ❤
@MissMooreStyle
@MissMooreStyle 3 күн бұрын
wow! Ok, that definitely makes me feel better....I felt like such a baby for pushing the button, but I'm glad that I'm not the only one who could barely take it. If surgery is easier than that then hell yeah lol. I'm just nervous about being put under. I hear you about the kids. I am kind of in that situation anyway bc I'm 36, so yeah. I've always been really undecided about it and especially financially and where we live with no family around to support at all, it just seems impossible but also the clock is ticking. In any case, I am not supposed to try that until 3-6 months post op so I at least have bought myself a couple months of constantly thinking about that choice. I'm glad yours didn't come back! Hopefully mine stay away too

@@MissMooreStyle the MRI was hell! Absolute hell. I’m not sure that I could go back into one again after that! I was scared about the anesthesia too because it was my first surgery but it’s nothing, I promise! You’re just out and then you wake up and it’s done. My Mom told me that the first thing I asked was if my stomach was flat again. 😂 I don’t remember that at all! I would say ask for anti nausea meds with you anesthesia if you get nauseous easily, I did and I had no problems whatsoever which was a relief. The recovery wasn’t too bad, either. I’d say the most painful thing that I can recall was the first time I stood up in the hospital but it was momentary. After that I stayed off of the hardcore pain meds and just took a higher dose of OTC stuff. I tried to shuffle around the house and get some exercise, that helped me. You’ll immediately feel better not having the mass in you! Oh also, my scar is super thin and you can barely see it. It just feels kind of ropey underneath it if that makes sense, like slightly raised but it doesn’t look bad at all. ❤️
