I observed that the average Filipino makeup style improved immensely in the past 2-3 years. I think a lot of it is influenced by Korean makeup trends/clean girl aesthetics. I’m all for the more natural makeup looks!

I really liked how you appreciate our make up style and our country. But not most people have fair skin in the Philippines because of gluthatione; most Filipinos are mixed people. Whenever you go around the country you will see Filipino-Chinese,Filipino-Spanish and Filipino American. But kudos for you for making this video and recognising the make up of my dear nation.

Omg!! I'm a Filipina in Vancouver, Canada, and I do this makeup every single day! I didn't even realize it's the Filipina style. I just do it bc it accentuates my features, like what you said in the video. A big influence is Korean style too, most likely bc of all the KDramas that Filipinos love to watch haha. I actually leaning towards korean/japanese make up most of the time but been coming back to filipino make up particularly the blush placement then my father told me my make up looks more natural. I have the same sentiments as you with the blush placement but yeah it's a trend that never left since 2015.

You are spot-on on this routine! Also on the top 3 products if I could only take 3--It would be eybrow pencil, liptint and mascara. I only ever use foundation and full makeup when I'm attending a wedding or formal party lol And most certainly true, most Filipinas' makeup goals is to enhance and not change our features. Feels weird if I do too much lashes or eyeliner and change my face too much 😅

@@iluvfri3nds ouch :( I immigrated to Australia when I was 9 and lived here for 12 years - I’ve also lived in the Philippines for a total of 15 years so sometimes my accents just come out naturally like that 😞 But you’re not wrong - I have like 3 different accents: Australian, Filipino, American. It’s just not natural for me to stick to one; it’s so tiring after a while. If I could, I would haha!
