Ok and. I would say like thep person above. A LOT OF US DID. this last chapter was a bad ending I'm sorry. I even loved this series just like Nick here and I still agree, Because they gave no meaningful answers to questions such as what's going on with Tengen now, why we had so much emphasis on the new Shadow style school, then an abrupt ending without that plotline going somewhere even tho it's seems like Akutami could have lead into a BETTER ending from that. Also. The idea that gojo only spoke to Yuji is all nice and good until you consider that he didn't have closure w Megumi or Yuta. So yeah. I could go on as MANY others likely will. But yes, this is one of the more terrible endings I have read in a while. AT Least MHA showed us how the people that were focused on are doing in the future instead of leaving us on a Cliff hanger and ALSO introducing casually that Fujaku is just walking around w Takeba potentially, which COULD have lead us into Twojutsu Kaisen if Akutami wanted to really pay off some of these plot holes. EVEN if it was and exclusive 5-10 eps OVA that gave us those answers it would be a LOT better than this ending.

I think the Sukuna arc makes sense, actually. His entire thing was that alone, he could defeat anyone and anything by embracing his own monstrous identity. Failing to defeat Yuji and the complex teamwork of the Sukuna slump squad basically disproves what he thought. Assuming he has reflected as his soul is "processed" a bit it's fitting he changed his conclusion about strength and identity. It could have been a few chapters, it'd have been better but it seems fine.
@ashzerodude3 ай бұрын
@@MrSlayerkid117 was it? My take away (and I'm not saying I'm some reader who's memorized everything) was Sukuna was so strong he didn't need to question anything. He ate when he was hungry and killed when he was bored. He was ruled by his own ambition because there was no opposition. That one girl who went on about love really came out of nowhere? She just fan girl'd and Sukuna was like 🤷🏻♀️ death but the story went with it as if Sukuna ever cared or wanted or was curious about love? His defeat was bad writing, but that's what has to happen after the bad writing of defeating Gojo. He lost without going all out once or ever, didn't take anyone serious, Gege used the month time skip exclusively to excuse the power ups and nonsense of the good guys; Sukuna and Geto just waited apparently. Idek if the Megumi soul bath was apart of that same time skip lol. Like Gege had pieces but no picture.

He was certainly trying as hard as he could with the binding vow reveal.

It's definitely an unfulfilled ending with lots and lots of reading comprehension/context to glean from, but it's way better than the cope ending of people wanting Gojo back or the "This Jujutsu really was our Kaisen" type of meme. There are a lot of plot holes that aren't close to filled and some things weren't honestly needed to be inserted, but I think Yuji & Sukuna's resolution to walk a different path/go north was good and rivaled people like Nanami's death. Also you definitely lightened up the literal giving the finger to the audience that Gege left on the last page, but Gege is extremely valid for telling us all to F-off after what the community did to him post-Gojo's death. Was it good? No, not really, but the ride usually is better than having to stop and get off anyways.
@raec54263 ай бұрын
Even if Gojo didn't necessarily "need" a funeral/burial scene shown, after the plotline of his body being used there should have been stronger conclusion for it with a bit more reflection in the aftermath for it (for Yuta especially) and also something actually mentioned about his body being cremated and buried... we just have to make the assumption for it off screen. Gojo also wanted a proper burial for Geto (for Shoko to come in as their classmate), so could have got more from her character related to them both. And some specific reflection of Megumi about Gojo's death, which we really didn't get at all (centered around his sister, and at least showed guilt for Hana's injury). Just more impact to the cast shown for it as seemed too casual, like with Nobara mentioning how gross it was for him to make letters without some of them outright acknowledging his death more. After the final battle, it just quickly switched up to being lighthearted without the heaviness of the battle aftermath felt first and the emotional impact of those fallen from the battle pretty quickly glossed over.

There are GOAT mangakas like Oda (who, after almost 30 years in the game, can still cook designs like Loki and make story seems coherent and foreshadowed) or Togashi, and there are guys like Gege who stumble upon cool concept and fumble it bit by bit. It's just that simple. Sukuna's resolution is cool but he still went out like a lil yapping bitch, similar to AFO, another fumble. @MarkyBovee3 ай бұрын
I really can’t agree with the idea that Gege didn’t know what his fans wanted. From my perspective he did exactly what the fans wanted at that time. No one talks about how everyone was complaining about the Sukuna cycle, which Gege ended. Or how they wanted Yuji to deal the final blow, which Gege did. Or how they for the longest time, everyone was clowning on JJK because characters kept dropping left and right, only to be mad that not enough characters died at the end of the story. Gege did everything the fans complained about except Jujutsu Shippuden, which he has no reason or incentive to do. Seriously, why would he continue this story when he’s had to deal with constant complaining and death threats for like the last year and a half. That being said, I’m not gonna say the execution of the ending was incredible, but I’m not gonna pretend like it was somehow the worst ending in Manga history. It was about on par with the last arc of the story, with the same amount of plot holes (binding vows!) that are present throughout most of the story. Overall though, I enjoyed JJk, I’d give it like an 8 or 8.5 out of ten. It wasn’t perfect, off-screening Gojo is still mind boggling to me, but it was a cool read. And that was what it was supposed to be, a cool read.
@averytherockgod98223 ай бұрын
Is still think 100% that the Remi plot line being left open is just so Gege can write a spin-off eventually. Because essentially for his idea for JJK it was originally supposed to take place with government agents instead of high schoolers, and now due to Remi being captured of Gege wanted to write a spin-off he could very likely do that. And Ik some ppl still rlly don’t think JJK’s gonna get a spin-off cause it hasn’t been announced yet but like, guys, the final chapter just wrapped up barely over a month ago and the final volume hasn’t even released yet. Gege needs some time to rest and possibly gather up some ideas if he wants to continue this story. I think he does though because of how all of his previous work essentially were just building blocks to create the Jujutsu Kaisen universe which Gege clearly loves.

The ending showed us that Gojo’s ideals have been inherited by Yuji, Jujutsu society’s leadership has been inherited by Gakuganji and the three major clans have effectively fallen apart, the New Shadow Style is now led by Kusakabe who can teach Simple Domain to all new sorcerers, increasing the versatility and fighting capability of all sorcerers (especially saving many techniqueless sorcerers) and Tengen’s barriers will remain up for a time to allow them time to react to the changes they’re going to see in the rest of the world. There was no time for a funeral for Nanami with Kenjaku starting the culling games and still in a time of turmoil for the group right after Shibuya, but now all the major threats are gone so it's a time of peace where more of that type of stuff could be shown.

My thoughts on the ending are that while I'm glad Nobara came back, the fact that we spent like a year watching Sukuna carve his way through everything with a binding vow chainsaw, just for him to get Deus Ex Machina'd by Nobara's return, immediately lose from that, and then everybody got a happy ending except Chozo and Gojo who seem to be the only deaths that stuck during all this. Like, what if we had gotten Nobara instead of a few chapters of "my stump go clickety clack because binding vow" but then had that still happen later to be how Team Gojo successfully got the final hit to actually land? Basically, bro spent too long hyping up how busted and evil Sukuna was, so the happy ending felt like cheap bullshit.

Can you breakdown what yuji’s domain expansion actually is and where you think all the characters ended grade wise

Also, why megumi‘s sister got a grave stone? Because she simply isn’t a jujutsu sorcerer. she is a normal human. Gege made the distinction clear from chapter 1.

@@raec5426my guy, have you read the manga? Sorcerrers don't get graves because it makes it easier for people to curse their deaths and create powerful curses. That's the one part I really don't like about this video.

@@mr.orange2192 Gojo's literally talked about mourning Geto's body properly. As it's been mentioned already it would be fine after cremation. That was the whole point of the last scene with Shoko. I wasn't even necessarily talking about a burial scene specifically but mourning of death in general, regardless of that.
@mr.orange21923 ай бұрын
@@raec5426 Who says it's fine after cremation? Shoko just said she should've taken carr of his body better. And I think the lack of a mourning scene for Gojo just shows that his ideology still lives, which makes him the winner in the end.

@@mr.orange2192 Based on the whole topic, there's nothing saying it would be an issue after that either, as the whole point is that there could be a proper disposal of a sorcerer by Shoko. Still doesn't negate the actual point I was making regardless of a physical burial or not. There wasn't even a mention of Gojo's death more explicitly by certain characters (ex: Megumi felt guilt about sister's death and Hana's injury, nothing mention of Gojo's death for him at all; Nobara mentioned it was gross of Gojo to write letters but again nothing to say about his death beforehand; barely anything for Shoko, just to off-handly blame Gojo for Kenjaku situation but nothing else really said).

I will say this: Yuji and Sukuna have backs like Ronnie Coleman because of how hard they carried the ending of JJK; take those two character arcs out, and then the ending is absolutely awful. Regardless, JJK deserved better

I only have one guess to why it ended how it did. The author was already sick & getting sicker, so he just a wanted to wrap it up so it was some kind of ending before he kept delaying it. Hopefully what they do is the same thing in the bleach anime where they are expanding on details not in the last arc, and hopefully Gege is healthy enough to oversee it.

Overall I still really like JJK, despite the many MANY issues I have with a lot of the choices Gege made, I would still give the story a 7/10. What sucks is that before the final arc started, I probably would've given the series like a 9 or 10 outta 10. I used to truly love this story, and now I just like it. My only hope is that the anime will fix how rushed so much of the final arc feels, which honestly I think it's pretty likely they will. I would be pretty suprised if they didn't expand on the fights in the final battle in a similiar fashion to how they did the fights in Shibuya.

I mean the story line of JJK was not all that good, but the powers were entertaining when it came to action, Gojo and Sukuna being the only characters that made the show more interesting, so I think for all the Sukuna fans out there, the ending wasn't all that bad unlike the Gojo fans
