Me and my friends used to build GoPeds a few years back, at one point we had a fully built and ported “GTR46R” that hit a little over 50 MPH. A few parts I recommend upgrading first, being a “GoPed Sport” beadlock rims, black magic spindle, third bearing support and a clutch conversion kit!! 😎👍🏻 Edit- make sure you run 40:1 fuel mix

Sam it a called a goped! It was invented originally by two bothers in Minnesota to get around swap meets. It turned it to kinda a scene in the US. Racing, freestyle I have had 3 of them the o.g. One like you have with two front forks then I got the newer one witch is sketch because of the signal font fork but last but not least the x-ped witch was a attempt at making this thing a extreme sport but the one you have is the best so many mods! Different engines, crazy two stoke pipes, carburetors tunings, ( but the one you must do is the) bigger spindleor converting a 1 inch bike peg into a spidle. It will in creases your top speed so much. But matched with all the mods I mentioned above it’s so worth it. I don’t have them any more and I miss them. O yeah and alway ride on dry pavement. If the rear tire gets wet the spindle will just spin in the tire

I’ve owned a few of those kind of gopeds back in the day you don’t have to pull start it you can start it by kicking off like a normal kick scooter until the motor starts then just hit the throttle that goped is spindle driven so if you put some weight on it and kick off your good to go also loads of aftermarket parts you’ll have fun with those

i had a tomei arms turbo kit on my 2.2l stroker SR it was the smaller one out of the 2 models, and it was very very good, response and power wise its similar to the td06 but less laggy on my set up anyway, i really liked the peformance from a bolt on turbo kit

Fix the GoPed up, put a Yashio Factory livery on it and it will be a huge hit at future drifting events. Tons of fun for cheap.

That is a good goped it has the Zenoah G23 RC engine. Sammit make sure that you get the 3rd bearing kit for it otherwise you will break the crank shaft. I can get you a larger Head and Piston it will giyve you another 5 hp and with a larger spindle it will up your top speed.

If you like that Goped sport,then you should checkout the Goped GSR46 or the GSR29,Riot,all are good Goped scooters that are faster and much safer then those Sport peds with hard tires. Many of my friends have gotten hurt bad from running over a pebble or Crack on the street. Air tire gopeds are the way to go. I build custom Goped's btw.

When I was in middle school my brother gave me a big foot goped -motor.them sweet bearings and smooth wheels was smooth.I felt I could push it so fast and I'd ride it too far always 🤣.best scooter I'd ever ride in my lifetime.most people in south Florida would put the motors from gopeds on rear wheel of bmx bikes.congrats on the cool ride,hopefully you will travel around car show's and dirt tracks with it 🤙🏻.it would be cool content after you learn to ride while recording

The handlebar folds up. Just lift up on the part below the spring and it'll fold down. And that thing need new wheels/tires bad! The wheels come with tires. Could tell the back wheel was really flat spotted. They wear with use since it's a direct drive motor. Your can change the spindle that drives to wheel to different sizes to go faster.

You should add a small battery pack and give the scooter an electric starter. Also I recommend moving that break to the rear or add dual breaks

As long as you've got good compression and good spark then you're good to go. 2-strokes do produce good power for the size and they smell amazing when they run can't beat a 2-stroke

so there are a few things you need to know about this exact scooter you have bought. Number one it is not a clutch drive the engine is directly attached to the rear tire threw a dowel friction rod directly on the tire surface which means when you start it the back wheel will always be turning. The best way to start these is to just push off from a dead stop causing the back wheel to turn in the process turning the engine over starting it. When you come to a stop it will completely stall out the engine as well. I don't know why there is a pull start on it as they are pretty much useless on this model of GoPed. Your best bet is to hop on eBay or Amazon and find a prebuilt GoPed 53 CC big bore engine or buy the kit and rebuild the one on the scooter you have now. Be careful with the carburetor adjustments small turns make big changes and if you run these engines too lean they will lock up quicker than you can say well gosh darn. On your oil mix keep it at a 25 to 1 till you iron out your fuel-air mixture then drop it down to 40 to 1 mix and DO NOT use a synthetic oil in your fuel mix! also the less ethanol content in the fuel the better as the ethanol will eat up the seals in that motor.

Those handle bars should fold down by grabbing the bar below the spring and pulling it up. That's how it works on my non-engine powered go-ped.

I've got a really hopped up GoPed. Testing it for a tiny second with brake cleaner might not hurt anything much but it being a 2-stroke if you run it for more than a second could be catastrophic to the engine... I had an engine lock up due to improper fuel oil mixture. Was an honest mistake but let's just say a direct-drive scooter locking up on the road is not a fun experience.

The handlebars do fold down that’s why there’s a spring. Pull up on the tube under the spring and it should slide right up. These things used to be my shit like 20 years ago lol

So the Tomei bolt on kit for the 1jz.. don't do it. The very first batch was good, but the ones after often would blow up or the seals would fail within 10k kms. Some as low as 5k kms. They are a gt35 sized turbo so not very responsive. This was discussed a lot on the JZXWorld Forums back in the day. The current best bolt on, well semi bolt on, is the GCG GTX3076R gen II.

Take the muffler off and flip it over and drill 1/2 inch hole next to the exhaust output. Put the muffler back on upside down and you will get five more miles per hour out of it

It does fold! Pull up on the red tube on the handle bars... you missed the spring... just pull and wiggle. Its a "Goped" mopeds have pedals. Get a new Zenoah 29cc and call it a day. Your in Japan so you can get it direct!
