Stop worrying about tire prep. sauce them and run laps. I was Q2 and never touched my tires other than sauce. Sure, when you get to a certain level there *may* be some advantage to scuffing the tires but a few wall taps and that advantage is gone. Get to where you run good clean laps and *then* up your tire game. Good work so far... Keep it up.

Thanks for helping set my straight again Chris!! Your help has been great. I am def shifting focus to getting around better and not worrying about things I can’t even feel or do anyway :) this is def a marsthon and not a sprint :)

Happy to help! I fall into the same traps so no one is immune. At the end of the day good driving is what wins races. Yes, once you get to that level you need good equipment too but unless you are consistently able to lap within a few hundredths lap to lap focus on driving. Either car you have is able to run well and/or win on most any club race day. Set the tweak and run laps. Check the tweak if you have a good hit then go run more laps.
