Ok but the detail of the pages flipping on Juli’s book is CRAZY satisfying

Thank you :-) I did spend way too much time on it, so I'm happy it turned out okay! I really appreciate the compliment

Thanks for showing us the whole process! And for adding the text annotations to explain where we should be looking. That's something I've noticed in the many speed-draws I've watched in my time - sometimes the actual drawing is happening in a small spot that I haven't noticed, so being TOLD where to look actually helps me not feel lost while watching it LOL I too have never used Krita, so I can only suggest something about the hands - they look unusually small with the thinner black outlines that you gave them vs the outer edges of the characters, on Karina and Nathan. So for visual cohesion, you might want to keep the line width consistent. That will necessarily limit the amount of finger-detail you can depict on these Nuesday forms... But I think it matches perfectly well to give them mittens, like on Julia, or the power-puff-girl-arms like on Jacob. Edit - You really gave yourself a challenge with that marshmallow-replacing animation! I myself probably would have given up and just pretended that it never got hot! Like, have Nathan pull the stick towards himself, examine the not-melted marshmallow, frown at it, and put it back in for a while, and repeat that. Cuz that would be a lil visual gag, that he can't get the marshmallow to heat up at all. IRL physics of course, is better represented in your more complicated choice. Edit 2 - Something I noticed as you went thru each frame - perhaps the whole body should be on a separate layer from the arms? Since the arms move so much, and the bodies of the characters stay basically still, they could become 'background' too? Then you wouldn't have to erase and redraw the white part so much. And if the body DOES move, you could, like, copy the body-background' layer, and redraw it a bit, and maybe hide? the body-background layer for THAT frame?? But IDK if Krita can do that, soooo now I'm just makin' sh!t up. I should stick to what I know... XD I did also notice the left-over line of pixels when using the fill bucket, that you have to go in with Brush to clean up after. Does the Fill Bucket have an option under Tool Options to fill past that pixel-y line? Maybe called bleed or over-fill or smth? I've seen that shown off as an option in Clip Studio Paint, but it might not exist in Krita, idk. Congrats on completing it!! And definitely worth it to show off in the ending of all ur vids - get your money's worth outta that asset! :D

Thank you for the tips! I will definitely look into whether there are settings I can change for the fill bucket. The empty pixel line was very annoying! I'll try breaking up bodies into different layers if they're mostly staying still, too! I had not thought of that at all :-) I see what you mean with the thinner lines on the hands not matching the thicker line style for the rest of the body. I struggle with keeping consistent styles in pieces, so I'll look out for things like that in future too! Thank you so much

not sure how krita works as i've never used it before , but for me it really helps having several layers for the background while animating . otherwise it gets super confusing lol but either way you did a great job ! congrats on your first animation !

Thank you! I hadn't really thought about how to break up the layers, so I will try that out in future!

Karina’s planning on either committing arson, starting a forest fire, or both.

I don't think I could bring myself to start a forest fire with the low levels of forest that we have left, but a little arson? As at treat??
