Thank you for sharing your collection! I just added several books to my wishlist ☺️ I have a lot of books that are very special to me in my collection, but the first one to pop into my head is a signed, first edition copy of Cabal by Clive Barker. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a convention last year and took my copy to get signed. He was incredibly kind and I am so glad that I was able to meet him.

You're welcome, thank YOU for watching it! That's so awesome you found some new books to add to your wishlist. Ooooo that's so cool you have a first edition of Cabal! I love this. Very interesting collection. I’ll like to get a little more into horror. I mostly stick to thrillers and suspense. I think my favorite books I have on my shelf would probably be The Shinning by Stephen King and It by Stephen King. I also still have my copy of Wait Till Helen Comes from middle school. I love that book and I’ll pull it out every so often to reread. I still have most of my Fear Street books out in storage. I remember having so much fun reading them.

Thank you I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm actually thinking of doing a video recommending horror books for people who haven't read horror before. If I do I'll let you know! Great Stephen King choices. I like both of them. Yay for another fan of Wait Till Helen Comes! Mary Downing Hahn is a master at ghost stories and I read all of her books when I was younger. I still read them as an adult too. You've now been entered into the drawing, so check back the weekend of September 26th when I post a video with the results.

That Philip Pullman trilogy is called His Dark Materials. Robert McCammon is one of my favorite authors but I have everything he's written as well as Stephen King. I don't just have one favorite book. I love Swan Song because that was my introduction to Robert McCammon. I also have some signed copies of some Walter Mosley books. Walter Mosley and Anne Rice are actually the only two authors I've met in person. Well anyway this is a wonderful collection and a great video.

It's pretty much the most Impressive personal Library I've ever seen. The Croning and Weaveworld were big surprises,sorta, though they should not have been. You have every Book I've looked at and said maybe? Maybe not? Its borders on comical it's so vast. I have many questions so many I'm paralyzed with indecision. Anyway Great Video Insanely Great and Big. Hell I'm not not very into YA but what you have I know is quality and I'd suggest to anyone. Hope you aren't near the fires good luck that way it looks scary as hell. Stay Safe!

Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot to me :). There were a few important books missing from my video (such as The Fisherman by John Langan. Long story but it recently fell into a river) so I'll probably do a Part 2 sometime to make sure those books get love too. I'm actually thinking of doing a YA book recommendation video for people who don't read a lot of YA. YA horror is especially tricky. I tend to prefer adult horror to YA horror but there are some decent ones. Thanks! Thankfully I'm pretty far away from any fires. We're just dealing with a lot of smoke here. BTW I've entered you into the contest and I'll be posting a video in a couple of weeks with the results.

This was so much fun to watch, I loved getting some insight into what other books and genres you have on your shelves! I was surprised to see you mention Hyperbole and a half, I don't think I've ever seen anyone else on booktube talk about it before but it has always been one of my favourite memoirs. I've been anticipating the sequel for years, I'm so excited its finally coming out! I just cant choose one favourite lol but a couple I've had on my shelves for ages and cant see myself getting rid of for nostalgic purposes are Hatchet by Gary Paulsen and The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton. Both were books that I read in junior high that really helped me get into reading. In fact, my copy of the outsiders was my school's copy and I don't know how I ended up with it but I love it 😊

Thank you Deanna! I'm so glad you enjoyed it :). You know what? I should probably do a review on Hyperbole and a Half because I don't think many people talk about it on here, and they should because it's a great book. I'm super excited for the sequel too! Both of those are good choices! I read them in junior high too. I don't have a copy of the Outsiders but I like my copy of Hatchet. Haha I have a school copy of a book too. Fantastic bookshelf tour! This is a great idea for a giveaway. It is tough for me to pick only one favorite, but it'd probably be my edition of Sleeping Beauties that is signed by both Stephen & Owen King. I took a road trip to attend their reading in St. Louis when they went on tour & was fortunate enough to score a copy that had been signed by both.

Its 'And I Don't Want To Live This Life' by Deborah Spungen about her daughter Nancy Spungen, the infamous girlfriend of Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols. The world made fun of Nancy so this is a heartwarming story about her life by her mother and her struggle with mental illness. I'm writing this before I'm done watching because I'll forget to mention these 2 things if I don't. So random (in a good way) that you have A Mother's Reckoning by Sue Klebold. I've owned that for about a year but haven't read it yet. Did you read it and did you like it? Also....Final Exam. I'm wondering if that's the same as the movie. Its a fun slasher film from 1981.
@taylortalkstales81064 жыл бұрын
I do recommend it. I'm a big fan of true crime books (though I don't actually own a ton) and Columbine was one area I was very interested in for a while. I think A Mother's Reckoning adds a certain layer to what we know about what happened. You really get an inside look, and it's more than just a crime story, it's about a broken woman coming to terms with her child doing something terrible and having to put herself and her world back together. It shows that we can't really simplify people into good people or monsters, but instead even people who do horrific crimes have families and a past. I do suggest being in the mood for it since it's pretty heavy at times.

Really enjoyed your bookshelf tour. I think my favorite book of all time is The Lord of the Rings trilogy because I got them for Christmas back in 1978. I know it's cheating a little because its three books and their not horror. Where did you get that Twilight Zone shirt? I'm a big fan and I just started watching them on blu-ray DVD's and I'm enjoying all the extras. I also have the book The Twilight Zone Unlocking the Door to A Television Classic by Martin Grahms, Jr., and looking forward to reading about the episodes. Do you have either? I'd like to know what you thought of the series and if you had any favorite episodes. Sorry for all the questions but I really like your channel.

Thank you so much! So glad to hear you enjoyed it :). That's an excellent choice. I like the Lord of the Rings as well. I own a set but they weren't featured in this video because they're on a different bookshelf that I share with two of my siblings. I bought my Twilight Zone sweater from a company called Middle of Beyond. Here's the link to it: middleofbeyond.com/products/twilight-zone-sweater Their sweaters are great. They're a bit pricey, but the quality is very good and they last a long time. I've had my sweater for several years and it still holds up. I love the Twilight Zone and own the entire series on DVD/Blu-Ray. Normally I'm not a big fan of TV shows, but I grew up watching the Twilight Zone and constantly revisit the series. I actually don't have that book but I'll have to check it out! No worries at all! I'm so glad you like my channel. BTW you've been entered into the drawing. @@taylortalkstales8106 Thanks for the link for the sweater and for entering me into the drawing. Just wondering whats your favorite Twilight Zone episode.
