At first I thought the ending wasn’t great. However, after mulling over it for a while, I came to understand that it was the only way it could end… “Ka is a wheel “…

I loved the ending. Been having arguments with people ever since about it though. Looking forward to your spoiler review.

I’ve just started book six. The statement “it’s more about the journey than the ending” has me worried at this point

I am so happy that you liked the series! I absolutely loved it!! The imagery and pure fellowship made the series so unique. After reading the dark tower I was so frustrated and angry haha. But after some thinking throughout the week I was finally able to appreciate the ending. Like you said, it really is about the journey rather than the ending. Talking about an emotional roller coaster ride!

I read the books as they were published so ended up rereading the first 3 or 4 several times as I wanted to refresh my memory when a new one would come out. I didn't do that for the last 2 or 3 books so I wanted to reread the whole series again fairly quickly. I ended up doing a re-read last year. I think I did it over about 10 months as I was reading other books in between. One of my favourites is The Drawing of the Three. I love the lobstrosities 🤣 And I thought the ending was perfect. I can't imagine what could otherwise offer a satisfying conclusion. It is very much about the journey though.

I celebrate Kings birthday by reading a book by him during September. I do it a couple of times other times of the year too. This time I celebrate his birthday with Dolores Claiborne. Have seen the movie many times, but first time reading the book. =)

I just completed getting my Stephen King Collection over the summer, but I haven't started reading any of the books yet. I'm not a huge fantasy fan so I wasn't going to get the Dark Tower series. But I'm glad I held off; I'm going to read his other book first and then possibly purchase the series and read that last. Great review!!😊

Thanks! I will always praise his work and it's a shame he's not as well known of an author. I'm actually working on a video regarding his work which will be uploaded in the next week or two.

I absolutely loved the series especially The Drawing of The Three and The Wastelands. I agree that someone should read a lot of Stephen King's work before reading the series. There are so many references from Insomnia, Salem's Lot, The Stand, etc. Even some of his short stories. This is one of my favorite series of all time along with one of my favorite authors.

Never understood its appeal.Never was able to go past the first book in this Series but i attributed it to the theme that didn't particularly interested me. I guess after getting into the suit of Lovecraft , Romero and Bram Stoker, he wanted to become Tolkien too. Tolkien he is not. Little sisters of Eloria was interesting though. Wouldnt surprise me at all if there isnt an old late night radio episode with a similar theme that he ripped it off from in his usuall fashion.. Maybe not set as a western but of similar plot. Or a late 70s Horror series episode which he also loves ''Homaging''. Like he did in the Night flier(i mean come on, he didnt even change the tittle that much,The Night Stalker)..
