During our annual rifle qualification, it was common to see deer wander across the firing range. You can bet some of the southern boys were hoping the range control would look the other way.

Bucks are not in rut in zone C or around Orlando area or Christmas florida. The rut is mid to late October for our area zone C.

Backwoods jerky seasoning is my favorite. I grind the deer meat no suit and use the jerky cannon and dehydrated. Simple and consistent.

Take the small chunks "Stew meat" deep fat fry it until medium rare and then add garlic salt or season salt and eat it. Chislic is what we call it

Give the boys a break about the rain jacket. Consider: They're BOTH lost in incredible outdoor activities almost daily. Not just Florida, if you're rockin' great hunting/fishing, (or NOT!) even as adults, guy's think of clothes last. PLUS, when you and the game you're after are really in a groove, very little weather conditions play a part until the end, THATS when you learn. (Adrenalin will SMOKE YA'!, LOL!) Sometimes when the "lightbulb" turns on, and they grasp another lesson, it can be just as cool for you as them! (I really love that) Great work, Gabriel.
