I bought my 1971 Dodge Demon when I was 15 for $3350 and it absolutely changed my life. I invited my buddy Hudson over to go over the car, fix a couple things, and take it out for some fun. Hudson's an incredible kid, who is on his 3rd heart after 2 transplants and just wanted to come down and have a day in the shop. It was great day telling stories, turning wrenches and burning tires.

I'm 63 years old.......50 ish years ago- I was *that* kid living in York PA. I hung out at my local garage, helped the owner and his son clean up their shop and helped clean up their 64 Nova they took to York US 30 every summer weekend. They paid my admittance every weekend.....I shoulda been paying them for all the good memories I have of those times. It's cool ....no *extremely* cool that you are doing the same thing 50 years later. It's what hot rodding is all about.

This is why I put a giant door to the alley on my shop when I built it. I was the kid with no gearheads in my life, and wanted nothing more than to find a guy who would show me the basics. I remember letting the air out of my bike tires to have a guy in town fill them my dad knew. That was my in to get him to let me watch him build motorcycles, cars, and jeeps. Everyone with an ounce of knowledge about working on old junk or building new gems should do everything in their power to teach the kids who show interest. We love these things because we look at them the same way people look at art. They hold no value unless we give them value. Keep up the good work brother. Proud to have a Tangelo sticker on my tool box.

Awesome job Tony! You can tell that Hudson has a real interest and love for muscle cars! I was always at my dad's side whenever he worked on cars from age 4 until I went to college and many times afterwards. He taught me so much. I rebuilt my first engine, a 383 magnum for a far too rusty 1970 Super Bee, with his help. He was also a great painter having worked as one for International Harvester for 30 years. We did the body work and repainted several cars including a 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury, a 1974 Duster 360, a 1986 Omni GLH Turbo and a 1969 Dodge Super Bee. As a kid, having someone to guide me that was so patient, understanding, and knowledgeable has paid dividends and made me confident to tackle not only cars but life itself. I'm 49 and lost my dad last December, but everything thing he taught me lives on. Every kid needs a kind mentor. ❤

This is the best car you own IMO, just love it, the green paint is killer. My grandmother bought a 73 Duster new, she was so proud cause it was the first new car she bought on her own. Her car only had a Auto trans as the only option, man brakes, no radio no power steering. She had it painted once, had the seats redone once, put 260K on it before she took it off the road and gave it to her mechanic ( it was burning oil ) in the mid 90's, she told me she didn't want me to get it cause she thought I would destroy it.

I had a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus I bought in 1974 that had the houndstooth buckets in it. Surprisingly they were very comfortable compared to the vinyl ones when it was hot or very cold. I wish it had been a Roadrunner instead but the insurance would have been cost prohibitive when I was 18.

I had a 71 Demon in my younger days. It was a 340 car but had a 360 in it when I bought it. That car was a blast to drive and did burnouts for days. I had to let it go when I got married due to the fact that my wife would have killed herself driving that car. A year ago I picked up another 71 Demon that was in rough shape and needed a ton of work. I made a few passes at the drag strip and the 318 was pretty sad. At the moment I'm finishing up a Hemi install and should be back driving it in another week. You have a nice car Tony, glad you hung on to it!

AWESOME. My first car was a 73 Dodge Dart Sport 318 with the super rare factory sunroof that was nearly half the size of the roof. Got it with 43K original miles from my Grandmother after it sat in her driveway my whole childhood (My grandad dided before I was born and she didn't drive). I loved that car espescially while everyone else was driving Honduhs and Nissans etc. I had a V8 muscle car and I did everythibg I coukd to make it a _REAL_ muwcle car. Magnum heads off a FI 318 of the time (early 90s) 4bbl carb, super rare Mopar cop-car steel wheels... evebtually sold it to a guy who collects Mopars here in the PNW and its still running around today.

Rad car Tony. I'm putting a 340 in my 1975 duster at the moment. This got me off the couch and wrenching.
