My First Catch! Surfside Jetty | Texas

It's been awhile! Busy with work, but we were able to manage some time for fishing. The bite has slow down a lot. The sheepshead are still hanging around the jetties, but most of them are undersized. You really have to work in order to find a keeper. The target was jack crevalle, but with no bait in the water and wind picking up the chances were slim. Water temp has risen to about 74°F, but the wind has churned up everything and the water clarity is taking a big hit. Latest reports have shown some trout along the jetties. My surf rod is the st. Croix mojo surf 11’ MH rod. I am also using the shimano ocea plugger 8’8 H rod. I just got the team daiwa surf rod 10’6 MH if you want a lighter surf rod. Hope this helps!
