Definitely gave me a big smile. Different jetties (South Padre) and 50 ish years ago Kathy and I were on the rocks every weekend. She usually out fished me too! Check out the Cooking With Clams channel if you haven’t already. Lots of videos on catching the East Coast cousin to Judy’s pigfish. Those porgies are a bit bigger but they taste almost identical.

Nice video. I never had any luck fishing the jetties. Did you know that the large square stones you were standing on are supposed be the pink granite stones that were left over from building the state capital building. They were brought down and used to build the jetties at the Port of Freeport. When the harbor entrance was widened and deepened they jetties were move and the concrete center was poured with the original pink granite stone placed along the sides. This allowed them to lengthen the jetties. Just an interesting historical note about the Freeport Jetties.
@cn1fish12 күн бұрын
Wow I had no clue! All I ever heard from my dad was that the jetties used to be way smaller and narrower that it was incredible hard to get out there.

Is it good for shark and stingrays ?
@cn1fish3 ай бұрын
I think up to about 5-6 ft for sharks! It is only a MH rod that I got. So you would probably want a H or XH for bigger ones
