I like the length of the dots hooks as I too have large hands. I actually buffed them out and now looove them!

Exactly how I felt the first time I used a Clover Amour. I purchased mine at Walmart online for $45 bucks. Best investment I ever made.

I love my Clover Amours... and look, some of us have issues getting gauge, so the finely graded size increments can make a lot of difference. I have quite an assortment of hooks in my stash, collected over the years [I've been crocheting for 30+ years]... some hooks are garbage for many projects, but seem to work well with others. So, I keep them, just in case. But bottom line, my project workhorses are the Amours... there isn't a project or yarn where they'll disappoint. Yes, I wish they were about a half inch longer... I have biggish hands too, being a larger sized [not "plus" but certainly not petite] woman. I'm tall, and my hands and feet are appropriately sized. Men crochet too, so they, like me, need to consider hook length since most males have larger hands.

I agree, on the Clovers, but my set has more useable sizes... I have just discovered one thing, that might make them worth a bit more. I just had to throw 3 Tulip hooks out. Their handles had dissolved into a gluey mess, after 3-5 years. There was nothing I could do to save them! My Clovers, that are older, as they were bought as one set, still stays precisely as when I bought them...

That’s great to hear about the Clover crochet hooks. But that’s disappointing about the Tulip hooks. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Tulip crochet hooks.

I have had my Tulips for 5 years and have no problem with the handles at all.

In the us, standard hook sizes beginning with b are b=2.25, c=2.75, d=3.25. e is where the standard sizes even out. 3.5 is an e. so that's why those sizes are in clover's set. I love using smaller hook sizes myself.

I LOVE ❤your hair!!! It’s so beautiful 😊 I almost bought the whole Etimo Red collection but something stopped me and I got a single 4mm hook. It is just not as good as my Amour clover hit it out the park with these!

I agree on the sizes with the Clover set. I’m a newbie and absolutely hate the cheap set that came with my cheap yarn and cheap accessories with my cheap Amazon starter set. They should not be sold to someone who has never crocheted before. Period! I couldn’t get the hooks to work with the yarn and became very frustrated until I was gifted a Wooble kit. After I got the hang of crocheting with the Easy Peqsy yarn, it clicked, even with the Woobles hook. The yarn wasn’t the problem, it was the hook! Of course you’re not exactly getting Clover hooks in those Wooble kits but they aren’t half bad. But then my friend let me use her Clover Amour. Yeah, let’s just say I went straight to Joann’s and bought two of them. I probably would have pulled the trigger on the full set (and might still because I do have a 50% off coupon) but there are just so many sizes that I don’t think I’ll ever use. My dream set would start at 3 and go up into the bulky sizes for the bulky blanket weight yarns. Anyway, I have rambled on. Thank you for an excellent hook review and I look forward to seeing other videos from you!

I'm a crochet hoarder. I have tons of hooks and accessories. I teach crochet and constantly give away different hook sets to my students. I buy a lot of hooks online and try different ones. Because I accumulate them, I often give them away.

I love my Boye hooks. I have other hooks but I'm in love with Boye hooks.

I used Boye in my early years of crochet (when I was a kid). And from time to time I still use them. I’m glad you have a set of hooks that work for you. Happy crocheting! 😊

The clovers in Europe are 2,2.5,3,3.5 etc. 9 hook set instead of the US 10. The sizes you have confused me I didnt know which would be better to get, order from American amazon or from the uk. I ultimately went with the uk ones. The japanese set is different too. 8 hooks can't remember the sizes. Interesting anyways

@@hookemcreations Yeah no problem. Anyone can purchase whichever set they'd prefer too by using a different Amazon with no account issues. I've ordered things from a few of them. Thanks for your video I enjoyed it. First time on your channel.

Perhaps it's just me but if someone says something "is not bad" when reviewing the item, that does not sound like anything I would be interested in purchasing. It's something like faint praise, and that's no recommendation or endorsement at all.
