Hey man! Loved the video as I've never got into the Black Series clones, and instead stuck with the Bandai model kit version instead. I've found that the Tamiya primer (and the tamiya acrylics for airbushing) do wonders for 1/12 scale models.

Awesome job! I'm working on a custom on the new body right now, it's way better than the old ones. Btw I'm not sure if you tried this before, but put some Vaseline on the neck ball joint and then shoot some glue with a hot glue gun into the helmet and attach it to the ball joint. It creates a really nice socket in the helmet and you're still able to easily pop it off to swap it for the superior phase 1 helmet 😆

You've mentioned eyeballing it when it comes to kama's in the past. If you make a template that's approximately 3"x2 1/8", you should have the perfect size for what you need.

Quik question how do you get suchs good coverage with lighter collours like yellow? Looks great btw
@commandercook8 ай бұрын
Well, to be honest for this one I didn’t use a very good paint brand so it took quite a few coats to get it covered, but I would recommend trying Vallejo. It is recommended by most customizers. I’m going to be transitioning my paint to that brand. And thanks!

how do you paint the teeth so well and clean? I really struggle with doing the teeth whenever I am making a custom figure.
@commandercookАй бұрын
@@funkymonke_420 honestly overtime I have just seem to get better with practice. I’m definitely still not the greatest at it. I definitely have to clean up any over painting with like a toothpick or whatever. There are some tools like at Hobby lobby they have a magnifying glass with a lamp on it that goes on your head. Maybe something like that could help you

Random question, but is this new body interchangeable with the arc trooper body? I'm planning on making a custom Fordo with this new clone body but I don't know if I could just switch the arms with the arc trooper arms.
@commandercook8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t think u could. I believe the mechanics are different. But u could always just try taking the figures apart to see just in case
@KermaFrost8 ай бұрын

@@KermaFrost bet
@KermaFrost8 ай бұрын
@commandercook So update on that. The mold actually can swap some parts with the arc, like the head and arms. The only thing is that the arc arms are a bit odd on the new body since the arms on the new clone have the separate piece for the shoulder pads. So the arc arms looks kinda squished on the body but honestly I still like it. Bought a Kama and 3d printed blasters from kamino3d off of etsy , and he looks amazing.

How do you separate the torso into two pieces
@commandercook7 ай бұрын
Well I wouldn’t say it’s a great method but I usually wedge a flat head in between the two torso pieces on the backside and give one good wack with a hammer. A lotta people say they use a flat head tho but It’s never really worked for me
