After sentencing, I was sent to county jail for 2 more weeks. Then, it was off to prison.

Love your videos man. Gives me some insight as to what my husband must have gone through when he went to prison at 25. I’ve had nightmares about what it must’ve been like for him that young and scared to death facing a very long sentence. That was 17 years ago. We reconnected 3 years ago the 18th of this month and got married December 2019. He’s still got several years to do before he comes home. Prison is no joke. I’m already anticipating how institutionalized he will be when he gets out, but I’m in this for life so I’ll be right with him every step of the way. Thanks for the videos I enjoy your content, it’s helpful to hear someone else’s story. Much support, prosperity, and happiness to you man.

Some people can't handle prison I'm one of those people. I spent a week in jail and was already extremely claustrophobic and panicked and when I was leaving it was like a mirror maze it really sucked. Eric Swanson was very well put - to the point, he got his message through in a very clear way. All first days in prison are traumatic. I could identify with quite a number of details (the noise, the treatment from your fellow inmates, the food,, the remorse and what you’re going to loose in terms of opportunities while you’re locked up, the company of your family and friends). I had the advantage to be sentenced for a shorter period of time (three years) and was in my thirties, not seventeen years old. But the trauma is the same. Congratulations!

I have a Jackson Dinky Rev with GFS active pickups and a floyd rose, Starcaster (basically the low end of the Strat line), a 1978 Memphis Strat (it was a low end Japanese strat copy back in the day, but it's now considered a pretty decent guitar), a Jackson King V, a Schecter Gryphon 4 bass, another guitar that I don't even know the name of, a Yamaha f335 acoustic, two saxophones, and a violin. I am definitely a metal head, but I play a little bit of everything. I need a drumkit, but I'm afraid my wife is going to beat me up if I get any more instruments.

@@EricSwanson1 Eric,...when you say open tuning,...do you mean DADGAD, open G, open SUS??? Which 2 tunings would you want out of the bunches of tunings on this double-neck. I'm think Baritone scale for both necks. Basswood body so it doesnt weigh 500lbs, burled maple top to keep that snap and clarity. 3 piece Bubinga/roasted maple necks. Ratio tuners. BareKnuckle Aftermath pups. Gotoh hardtail 510 bridge w/Titanium saddles. Tusq nuts. Bourne nonlinear smooth taper pots. And dont paint it. Just handrubbed sealer like gunstock oil. Or linseed. It outta resonate like a beast. I think you could build it as a bolt-on build for around $900 bucks. You can pre-order that wood combo from Warmoth, Harley Benton(probably the way to go) or MJT. But that's just what I'd do. You wanting a 12/6?? Or a 9/6 with a 9 like dude from High On Fire(Rumours of War is a killer song) has. That First Act Custom Shop 9 string. That guitar is cool AF. Where the 3 high strings are double like a 12 string. Sounds HUUUUGE!!!
@EricSwanson13 жыл бұрын
I was thinking something similar to dadgad, but lower. The reason I want to build my own is because I don't really want the 12/6 or the 9/6. As odd as it sounds, I'd rather have a 6/6, but hear me out. I want a dropped, alternate tuning on the bottom and something standard on the other neck for high register, melodic solos. I want the standard tuning on my top neck so I have a good wrist position for solos. I really like your hardware ideas. I would love to have something like that. I haven't really sat down and wrote down my ideas for specs on it. So far, it's just a dream. I don't have the money for it yet. I'll get it done eventually though.

What your mother did spitting on that dude, and the subsequent story of you guys seeing each other in the morning from opposite pods in the medication line is it a touching story. Seriously, up north of the Mason-Dixon line here we don't do the whole nuclear family thing much anymore. That's why our country is now falling apart being destroyed via controlled demolition. That's awesome👍👍✌

Thus is exactly the kind of dude you want as a cellie. Cool, calm and respectful, and not dumber than a pile of rocks, unlike 90% of convicts.

You talk to your cellie when you get there. If your first time you make mistakes and the people that have done time realize it. And educate you.

@@EricSwanson1 it's been 20+ years ago. Nothing like a little state raising to put you in line. I was a minor too when they charged me as an adult but it took 2 years for the sentencing. Young and dumb. Glad you're turning that experience into a good example and hopefully it keeps kids out. Good job bro.
