Happy Thanksgiving, Beth! It's so encouraging that you handed in the keys and left, before the last day of the lease. You were ready to hit the road, and did so! That is really great. I just cooked almost 10 pounds of squash, to bring to a family dinner on Thanksgiving. One of my daughters is running the show, hosting it at my ex's home but relieving her of all cooking/planning duties. I don't think every person will eat a pound of squash, but better to make too much than too little. ;-) We'll be right on the snow/rain/ice mix line, but in NH we're used to driving on slippery stuff. I'm still hoping to be in Q from around Xmas through RTR. It's been complicated by a death in the family, ever-changing medical appointment schedules, and a few other things, but so far it's still on.

👍Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone else! It's 14 degrees in mid America at what I call my base camp, just built a fire in the wood stove. I too wanted to be out of here by now, but I have to wait around for the land taxes to arrive. What a time of the year for taxes, and they'll be higher this year, thanks to big ranches selling. But reappraisals hurt the little people too😢 I'll be 71 in a few weeks so I know that feeling. I'm proud of you for the big step. I always say that we have many stepping stones in our life time, some big some, some only a pebble. Don't worry about the shadows and your lighting, it's real life, so it doesn't have to be scripted. Unless you need need a big production? Just like a camp fire or desert lighting, always changing. 😂 It will be just another day here, but greatful that I get a choice in eating or not, no family around, so no big anything. I hope today that you get a chance for maybe a desert walk and to breathe in all the new-ness of your new lifestyle! Remember to smell the flowers, they exist, if one looks for them 😂❤
