Thank you for the review! I’m probably getting this one in the near future so your video came in handy to watch. If I’m not mistaken, the Cupra connect app can show you charging stops when planning a road trip?

Thank you for watching! Congratulations, I really did enjoy it so I’m glad you did too! I believe you can yes, although I do prefer zapmaps as a charging app

Love the video, I am already pretty sold and looking to buy an early V1 model to get in at the lowest possible price sometime next month. There are no Borns local to me so I test drove a fully specced facelift ID3 today so I’ve unfortunately now seen the best the platform can offer lol Do you know if any/early V1s get blind spot monitoring with the yellow lights on the wing mirrors? Do you also know what kind of parking cameras they get (ID3 had front back AND sides) and also automated parking assist? I have heard that due to microchip shortages there is some disparity in features that shipped with early cars so I’m a bit worried about that too!
@GenuinelyLAS11 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've tried to look into some of this! Firstly as you can imagine a pre-facelift V1 is fairly far from a fully specced ID3, but I definitely see your point, that ID3 tech wise is best case. I'm not 100% sure on the blind spot monitoring, I don't think that is on the V1 and it only had a rear parking camera, although there is an option for the 360 degree camera and parking assist in a tech pack, although that may only be for facelift cars. It may be worth checking that with Fish Brothers Cupra, I hope this has helped a bit!

You just answered many of my questions. Try the MG4 X power if u want 429 bhp, however That is £36k. The base model Born, is a good lease option at the minute.
@GenuinelyLAS9 ай бұрын
I appreciate you watching Nigel, I’m definitely keen to give the MG4 X a try, have you driven one before?

Yes, liked it. Recently was on personal lease deals for under £9000 2yr 8k, now over £12.500 So not worth it now "MG Looses out".

Just ordered on. 3yr 10k for £13k, bargain for what it is. And that's with the white paint which is a cost option, didn't like the grey one

I covered 25k in mine. Screen froze constantly, rear brakes questionable and tyres sketchy. But apart from that a good car, looks great and range is excellent. Drove winter through to summer.
@GenuinelyLAS10 ай бұрын
Oh interesting, how did you find it in winter compared to summer? Was the range impacted much during the different seasons? Have you also stuck with an EV after the born?
@peterarmstrong385310 ай бұрын
@@GenuinelyLAS range went down to 3.2 miles/kWh from 4. I now own a BYD dolphin and I highly recommend it! Also I've had an MG4 and Kia Niro.
@GenuinelyLAS10 ай бұрын
Okay so not a major drop if you are just town driving. Very nice that’s a good range of different EVs as well, what made you go for the BYD? I think I’ll need to give it a go!
@peterarmstrong385310 ай бұрын
@@GenuinelyLAS the brand in general tbh and the way the dolphin looks and drives. Also they way underestimated the performance to 60 which I've managed 6.2.(cold roads and 5deg outside)also mg had dreadful aftercare and all my local dealers were not very helpful after a breakdown after 500 miles... (3 months to fix). I always have people talking to me about my car which is nice. Go for a test drive!!
@GenuinelyLAS10 ай бұрын
The dolphin does sound like a winner, I'll definitely try and give it a go! Interesting from MG as well, considering they are building back up nicely you'd expect something like aftercare to be a priority!

Don't know why people like this EV it's rubbish has to many bad sides to it the range is crap. Inside is very very basic rubbish crap on motorways with mileage. It's only ok for a old lady going across the road to the shop. Get a Hyundai
@GenuinelyLAS3 ай бұрын
I do see your point, I think the VAG group on the whole has gone pretty minimalistic interior wise and I do love the electric Hyundai range, especially the Ioniq 5N!
