My First EVER Book Signing was a HUGE Success!

The first signing event for the cookbook Jim Casada and I wrote was amazing! So many nice folks came out to talk with us and pick up a copy of the book. I really enjoyed talking to everyone and wished I could have visited with you all day!

It's really heartening to see that the book signing was a success and that all three of you had a fun time. It's also even more good news that your current print run has sold out. Congratulations! My book delivery from Amazon has been delayed. I think Amazon here in The Netherlands is still waiting for stock to be delivered from the US. That's not a problem. Patience is a virtue they say and I've got plenty of it. The delay makes the anticipation of it arriving all the more exciting.

What a beautiful piece of country you live in. I love Whippoorwills. I always felt that if you could hear one nearby, that everything was safe around you, because they are a ground bird. I think a ground bird would fly off if something dangerous was nearby. Congratulations to you!! 🤗♥️🎉

Wow. Great success. What a blessing. Good things happen to good people. I’m going to try and cook all the recipes. My favorite so far is the black walnut pound cake and the strawberry shortcake. Both are outstanding. I never could stand strawberry shortcake made with a sponge cake. Take care❤

Have you ever heard the phrase Journey Proud used? I have suffered with the inability to fall/stay asleep on the night before a planned trip or vacation for years. I live in Northeast Alabama, and I have heard the term Journey Proud used as the name of that particular difficulty. The Alabama Public Television organization produces and broadcasts a show named Journey Proud. The program has nothing to do with the inability to fall/stay asleep just before a trip or vacation but follows the journeys of a man who finds the most interesting things, people, and places all over Alabama to share with PBS viewers. It highlights various traditions and celebrations enjoyed by Alabamians. At the age of 63 I am continuing to learn new things about several Alabama cities/communities, long-standing traditions practiced from the southern shores of the Gulf, the wiregrass region of southeast Alabama, civil right struggles in several Alabama cities, the music traditions in northwest Alabama, the space program in northeast, the steel mills in the central part of the state. I don't think I have ever heard you mention the term Journey Proud in the language of the Appalachian people videos, so I thought I would ask. Praying for your mother-in-law and for God to comfort you all as you take care of her. God bless you all!

I love the book! I gave it to my wife as a gift and she loves it. We enjoy watching your family on KZbin. I only had two things about the book that I would 'complain' about, but really, there's no real complaint. First, I wish the print was darker for my eyes. It's not just your book, but many books just don't have dark black ink like older books had. Secondly, no pecan pie?????? I was hoping for a good southern pecan pie recipe, but that's okay, the apple pie recipe is on my list to try! Cooking the apples first is an interesting way to make sure your apples are soft in the pie. Excellent book! Thank you!
