i have nearly every pattern in black. I took the time to breed out a well bred black line where every horse in the lineage is black by like 10 generations. i know that they say that its not really necessary and has no effect however i disagree. i found the deeper i put the black into the lineage the more consistent i got black horses. So now when i breed with that black line stallion. i get a black coat with no dilution about 70% of the time. I also have a white line with the same lineage though i found the white was much harder to throw. In patterns i don't like (so i don't have to look at it) i go white and ones a do like i go black.
