Thanks for the video and channel man. When I ordered my Pit Boss Pro 1600 this was my most-watched video when hyping myself up about what I wanted to cook etc. Fortune had it that I came into an American Wagyu Picanha Roast by the time I was able to do my 1st cook and it was practically a religious experience. That was the spark that got me addicted to outdoor cooking now all these months later. Thanks again man.

Mentioned you can't get Picanha anywhere but WalMart. Actually most grocery store butcher's or butcher shops will cut a "top sirloin cap" for you. I get mine at Von's/Kroger's.

Great cook! Dude, WalMart is stepping up their game with Certified Angus. I literally did the same exact cook last week with a Certified Angus Tri-Tip from WalMart. Def try that. I cross hatched the fat cap as well. Tri-Tip is very similar to Picanha. If they have it next I am in I will scoop a few up.

@@NANLEIN33 Interesting, I have had both and prepared right I think the tri-tip is just as tender. But I think the picanha has a deeper, richer beef flavor. Both are amazing, but the edge goes to picanha.

Howdy. I am new to your channel. I am planning on doing a Picanha this weekend. Yours looks great, especially for Walmart meat. I used to have a Pit Boss but unfortunately pellets I left in the hopper during the winter ended up collecing moisture and becoming so rock hard that I never was able to get it removed and use the grill again. It was really disappointing. I had the cover on. So if I get another one I am no longer going to leave left over pellets in it during the winter, forecasted rain, etc. Have you ever had that issue? In theory if the grill is covered I don't know how the pellet would get wet enough like mine did but it happened.
