My take on tipping: If rounding up will do the job I’ll do just that to make it easier to handle the change. Like if it’s 65€ my tip will be to round it up to 70€ but sometimes that’s not enough so if it’s 69€, 70€ won’t do so I’ll instead go for something like 75€

No one thought Google was going to publish live images, people just didnt want photos of their houses on the internet without their consent and hence had them blurred. Only experiences I had in the US of A with tipping was that you pay after eating, like we do in Germany. Besides from fast food chains how is the waiter gonna mess up your food when they don't know if they will be tipped or not? 😂 I never thought about it before tbh. In Germany you don't have to tip. But it is common if you are satisfied with the service. Although waiters in Germany are paid reasonably, tipping is a friendly gesture that is well appreciated. 23,45 € ? Make it 26 € (or more)

i feel like tipping in germany or at least for me is like, you order food for lets say 44 Euros and the waiter comes and you just hand them a 50 Euro bill and just say keep the change, its mostly just rounding things up or if youre bill cannot really be rounded up you just put 2 to 5 Euros on top but its not a necessary thing to do it. i do it often tho i would say, just so i have an easier time and dont have to deal with any change. if you have some special event going on like christmas you might even tip more, or at least i like to do it.

MAX 5% and only in restaurants. I'd never tip elsewhere. Inflation hits us all. The dumbest thing I ever heared was: don't go out if you can't afford to tip. It is so much nonsense in one sentence that I can barely believe this isn't sarcasm. When I go out, I pay for the food. I couldn't care less how or even if the waiters get paid.
