Spray Vanilla 28 down on your skin first and then spray Deja Vu White Flower on top. It will give you the same vibes as Silk Santal

I totally understand that yum pistachio. At first after reviews I was like 🤨 but when I removed what I'd heard and just went by sniff...she's a love ❤️ and I wear her to bed and love smelling it in my sleep.

I like both of these fragrances, but Velvet Santal is a BANGER. I actually prefer that to the silk santal although both are going to be worn. I'm tempted to get a backup of Velvet Santal

I wore Chloe on my wedding day and Delina on the day I got engaged. Those to me scream wedding! I agree that Kayali’s marketing doesn’t match the scents. I also feel the prices are way too high for what they are. I want to smell Silk but not expecting anything exceptional!

I definitely got hints of Vanilla 28 especially in the drydown for Silk. That nectarine is delicious! Velvet is perfectly unisex to me as well and it’s so smooth. Thanks for sharing boo!

Weirdly since I had Covid I can’t tolerate super beast mode perfumes. When I smelled silk santal it just lifted my mood and made me happy. The longevity isn’t great but I don’t mind anymore since I’ve become so sensitive and get headaches. I started with travels. Then I had to get full bottles. Velvet Santal is something for the fall for me but the airiness of the silk is ok. The first thing that came to mind was deja vu white flower for the silk. The velvet reminded me of Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black. I don’t care I enjoy them both! Great review ❤

I got mine in today and I love them both too. Silk santal smelled familiar to me as well, a little of vanilla 28 in there. Velvet santal to me smelled alot like lovefest or venom of love vibe. I was amazed at how good they smell, both too me are full bottle worthy. I got spring- fall vibes with these.

omg my brain went through the same thing, trying to scooby doo what silk santal reminded me of! 😂 i def get a fluffier version of kayali’s deja vu white flower and less burnt sugar/vanilla extract vibe of vanilla 28. it’s a pretty fragrance, but i won’t be wearing it for my wedding next summer 😅

You and I seem to have totally different experiences but you asked so...I mentioned in my community tab (of course after I reviewed it, it came to me lol!), that Silk Santal reminds me SOOOO much of Mod Vanilla. To me they smell SO alike but I still love it and am glad to have it. I wouldn't wear it on my wedding day either but find it a super feminine beautiful every day fragrance. I'm sure you'll disagree haha and that's ok 😊

Hey Tera 👋🏽 I really love the Silk. It's sweet, fluffy, and pretty to me. I like the Velvet. It's a match made in heaven when layered, imo. Also, I just recently bought the sampler box to all the Kayali fragrances people are comparing Silk to, so......I dont know😅 I do know I think they are full bottle worthy 😉 😊

For me i really fell in love with the scent on first wear. It did become a skin scent within a hour but i received compliments all day. To be this is Vanilla 28, Deja Vu, and Musk all in one with added nectarine. I agree with you on the marketing for me this although gorgeous it doesn't standout enough for a wedding. I think a bride wearing this would easily be washed out by a guest wearing delina or even kilian princess

I love it! At first spray I was in love! The dry down does remind me of vanilla 28. I wish that opening would last longer. I only bought Silk Santal. May buy the velvet to mix. Great review as always!

I have the travel size of silk santal and I completely agree with your review. At first spray it did smell very familiar to my nose but I couldn’t figure out what exactly. Now that you mentioned La Belle I agree they do have a similar vibe.

I purchased 50 ml of both Silk and Velvet. I am surprised how much I love Velvet Santal. I prefer Silk Santal because it is sweeter but Velvet is going to be beautiful in the fall. When I layered the 2, I got a beautiful scent that lasted me about 6 hours. Silk Santal definitely lasts longer than Velvet IMO.

Great video appreciate your honest opinion as always🙏🏾. I've had these for a few days now, I tested the Silk Santal out for two days. I like it a lot, I'm a Sandlwood fan so this was right up my alley. I actually got 8hrs of wear on my skin which I was surprised about also got two compliments from strangers at a store on one of the days. The shirt I wore still smelled like it the next day. Good to note I am an over sprayer. Silk Santal does to me smell like Nebras. I haven't given Velvet Santal a full wear yet but I did enjoy the smell of it and will definitely get a full bottle of that. I normally at times wear unisex and men's fragrances.

I haven't tried either, but I think the general feeling is very nice but a little underwhelmed. I agree that Kayali do identify trends and seemingly "copy" hyped fragrances in a way. I was disappointed by how Kayali marketed these as masculine and feminine, I thought Kayali were a lovely example of non gendered fragrances. Kayali are all about the hype and the marketing, I do think that when it doesn't match the reality, it can be jarring. Fab fragrances can become a nnn, which is a big downside of their hyping. Pistachio gelato is a great example of that. I have still have no clue whether I like sugared patchouli or not 😂 it's one I keep trying and I get varying feelings on it. I really think the velvet is the one that I would really like to try. 😊 Thanks for your review.

When the reality doesn't match the hype, then the loyal soldiers forward the messaging that their fragrances are meant to be layered, so you should by X and Y lotion to "get the full effect."

Funny you say pair the silk with the musk cause I did that. I’m more of a clean scent girl and I thought I was going to like silk because of the notes of nectar, champagne and musk but it was too sweet for me. Adding the musk creates the perfect balance for me. I’ve also did a combo of silk, musk and the pistachio and to me it smells like wedding cake.

I haven’t tried that yet.. as for the silk Santal I thought it smelled like mon guerlain as well.. not a dupe .. but it kept hitting my nose here and there and that’s what came to mind..but now that you mentioned labelle.. that sounds better because I pick up some vanilla.. almost like it’s a fancier version of vanilla 28

Ive been married for four years and my perfume obsession is only about two years old, so I'm pretty sure I didn't wear perfume at my wedding. 😂 I have the sampler from her, but i haven't been all, ooh, i need that. Probably due to getting a couple other Sephora samplers to redeem for a travel size at the same time. I liked the pistachio when i sprayed it on in store. Ill probably try to smell these new ones in store. One of the fancy mall Sephoras near me seems to get all the perfumes.

Yes, I does smell very similar to a mosh posh other fragrances. What I got out of it was a little of Vanilla 28 but to me I know people won’t agree but it smells a lot like Victoria’s Secret Wicked perfume🤷🏾‍♀️ I happen to have wicked so this is no shade but I do get a cheap vanilla smell from it. Dont get me wrong I love it but that’s what it smells like to me.

Okay I watched the full video and here's my issue with silk santal, the opening is beautiful to me, but the second the dry-down hits, the musk is soooooooooo overbearing for me. I sprayed it twice on my wrist and 3 hours later I had a headache... If it could just stay in the opening I would want a full size. I'm not a fragrance expert so I don't have a ton of references in my head on what Silk santal smells like..... Velvet santal is on its way right now so we'll see how that one goes.

Kayali's marketing and press never match what the actual fragrance is. With Yum, I told myself I am done with paying full price and blind buying from this house. With that being said, if Huda has a friends & family sale or when the black friday sale comes around, I'll pick up both fragrances.
