My First Impressions Were Totally Wrong ! (Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi)

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi was unlike anything I imagined. Today we tour the Grand Mosque with Rea from Ocean Air Travel after she picked us up from our Dubai Hotel.The drive was scenic and very different for non locals.

It is absolutely stunning, breathtakingly beautiful and it gives the desired effect of feeling so humble in the presence of such beauty. I was in 1980 at the Dome of the Rock Jerusalem and that one was also breathtakingly beautiful but it was the "awe" effect because of the location and the age of the building.

I know nothing about the Islam religion but this place is amazing. It's just too bad that some use Islam to promote violence and terrorism. Those people really tarnish the beauty of this magnificent Mosque. I bet with as hot as it is, some people want to jump in that crystal clear blue water. It looks inviting just watching it on my computer screen. Looking at it on google earth puts it's size into perspective. Look at all the beautiful gardens around the building.

It is all very beautiful. It is built with some very bad labor practices. Most of Dubai is. Ask your guide to show you the labor camps.
