Love this video. 😊👋☺️✌🏻 I think that this is a very interesting point about NHS and utilising their pump. I love how ethical you are

Hey there, I too am on a healthcare system which covers all of my diabetic costs, and I know exactly what you mean about feeling guilty with taking a “Pump Holiday”. Just know you are not alone, nor doing any harm by changing it up a bit just so you know you ARE making the best choices!! I have done this with my pump (however, my need to let it go for awhile is that for whatever reason my pump was often off by 50-60 points, both high and low - YIKES)! Also, I even do this with some of my meds to be sure I still need them (often times by day 3 I know it is quite clear I DO need them). As of now I am trying the DEXCOM6 and so far the first 2 sensors have been off by 40-50 points, YIKES again!! I did callibrate both of them and then they were somewhat better. But my body has always been sensitive to electrical things. I told my boyfriend I will no longer be the MamaWolf of our Wolfpack (just two dogs who believe they are wolves 🐺 because that is what my boyfriend always calls them). Actually, our larger dog is part wolf which is why I just had to get her as a little sister for our first dog. She is now the Little Big Sister as she is twice his size. But they have bonded for life and they bring happiness and joy into our home!! Moving on, I may now be called the BlueToothMama, as I have 2 stimulators for incontinence, a new CGM and I am hopeful I may find a pump that works for me. Time shall tell!! In the meantime, thanks for being you and sharing your positive energy with the diabetic community as we need more shining stars 🌟 like you. You bring us hope and clarity. So enJOY your final decision and continue sharing your insights here on KZbin!! Many thanks and may you enjoy your day, sending ☮️ n ❤️ from sunny AZ 🌞 🌵

And thank you as always for your incredibly kind and uplifting words - you are such a spark of joy to me! Love to you, and your pack!! 🥰💙

Thanks! Medtronic and Omnipod are my two choices. I do use Libre already, so I'm planning to try Omnipod out first. I like the tubeless aspect, and since I don't plan to use the Medtronic CGM and therefore the benefits that come with its integration with the pump, I think I will like Omnipod better. As long as it's comfortable on my body... I'll be trying a sample pod out soon. :)

I am so happy I found you! I am for first time on pumpu holiday now and I just have the same feelings like you...I am really enjoying that freedom without pump...I dont need to hide anything...But also I feel guilty..the same reasons like you :-))) so I know I will go back on pump. Can I ask you how long have you been diabetic please???:)

HI ANG!!! OMG I'm so glad you found me and also I'm so glad and comforted to read your message - and know that I'm not the only one!! I've been Type 1 for over 16 years. I'm actually taking another pump holiday at the moment and again, feeling that guilt, but also loving the freedom. I'm trying to fight against the guilty feelings and just enjoy myself, but at times it can be tricky...I hope it's all working out well for you and you're making it work HOW YOU WANT IT TO! :) :) :)

You list the clear film in your 'products I find useful' list. Can you tell me what you use it for please. I'm intrigued.
