We bought the conductor plate in Australia on eBay from Prestige autoparts. It is OEM with the MB logos machined out. With the ebay discount vouchers it works out cheaper than bringing in from overseas. (not sure if these are always available) So dont get ripped off paying 2 to 3 times as much from other sellers and certainly don't be tempted by the no name china junk also available from other sellers.

Why replace it?
@alannobakht85039 ай бұрын
This is a two men job with high Jack and all type of professional tools-- to not cross your head that you can jack-up the car on the ground and do the job by yourself as I did. Do not get fooled.. the Transmission module is very heavy and one man needs to hold it and one needs to put the screws ON and there is no room for two people under the car at your garage at home.

Good job!! I thought I was the only one out there that replaced the one on my ML55 preventatively! When I took mine out, it actually showed some signs of failure (cracks in speed sensor housing) and it actually DID improve shifting quite noticeably. At the same time, I also installed Sonnax's "Master Overlap Sleeve Kit". I now do this to EVERY single 722.6 i own/drop the valve body on.

Could not tell if the filter went back in exactly right. The top rearward part of that filter has a plastic part that fits up into the trans. And the back of the filter seemed to fall just a bit after the filter and o-ring snapped into place.

I would suggest replacing the solenoids while youre at it. As well as all small sensors you can easily access. About 4 or 5 of them. Makes a big difference
@garymorrison46752 жыл бұрын
What sensors are you talking about ?. Any links for those solinoids and those sensors.
@Yohannson2 жыл бұрын
@@garymorrison4675 the solenoids are the 4 round pieces on the top side of the conductor plate. Sensors: one under foot pedal. One on top of transmission, one on the crank shaft and one nearby the crankshaft. There's also a sensor right next to the conductor plate referred to as a plug sometimes

Good job ,,electrical plug connector screw should only be done up to around 3 Nm or finger tight..if you put some trans oil on the o rings and warm it in the sun a few minutes it is easier to push in. Drain plug , 5mm allen torque spec is 20 Nm , but only use 18 Nm if you want to be able to remove it next time without rounding the screw or breaking your bit.

I am in Australia and have a W210 e230 WITH A 722.6 at. iT HAS DECIDED TO START HOLDING IN 3rd GEAR ( I THINK ITS 3RD BUT NOT ENTIRELY SURE. ) However I checked the AT fluid level and put 100ml of oil in as it was a bit low. Then I test drived the car and the transmission worked without fault. The about 2 days it got stuck in 3 rd gear againg and would not change. I can move the gear selector to Park and Neuteral and through all positions of the lever without any friction. But when I initially put car into D in thumps into a gear and if I move the selector lever ro any other gear position there is no down changing or up changing. Your video about the selector makes me think the module you replaced may be faulty. I also have an icarsoft V3 MB Scanner which brings up a fault code when scanning the Transmission control unit that says "Resistance is TOO Low - Selector Lever Coding is Occasionally invalid" Do you think this may be referring to the Gear Selector Module. My email is tiffy106@ozemail.com.au if you could reply with your thoughts I would be very appreciative. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Cheerz Stuart🤢

Hello.... thank you for the useful video, butvI got a question, I replaced my car Transmission Conductor Plate NAG1 for 2007 Chrysler 300C 5.7l AWD, it works then not shifting, they told me your Transmission need programming to work correct, someone else told me it doesn't need programming, so I got confused does it need Programming as you a professional??? Cuz am afraid to pay money for programming then if it doesn't work then you waste the money for nothing. Thank you

you need to have the fault codes read from the transmission control unit to find out exactly what it is complaining about.
@zubairkhankittur25843 күн бұрын
Is it plug'n'play or re-coding is required ?
@MMWA-DAVE3 күн бұрын
@@zubairkhankittur2584 theres no coding required. A scan tool may be required to clear errors in the case of a serious malfunction resulting from a failed unit but just replacing it preemptively, nothing is required.

Typical MB, tried and proven Transmissions upgraded just enough to match the tech of the engine in the If it aint broke, Dont fix it ethos that makes these things such a joy to repair and maintain. No trans ECU flash upgrade needed I gather?
