UAA fosters a culture of intimidation. Many students have been let go after speaking out or complaining to hire-ups for vague reasons, and therefore students currently at the school are too scared to speak out. School management constantly has all eyes and ears open for any sign of dissent or criticism and is looking over everyone’s shoulder.

As part of my conditional acceptance I had to have the FAA written done 80% or higher. They have a cafeteria on campus where you can order food that is open during the week and Saturday.

Are you technically working while in class? Wondering how you pay bills while being in school?

Some questions: 1. You mentioned a flight instructor is assigned to you. Is this a 1:1 ratio or are you in a group and have an instructor assigned to that group? 2. If there are multiple students to an instructor, do the other students join you on your flight? 3. If the other students are in your flight, does the instructor address all the other students i.e., answering everyones questions while on your flight? 4. I understand that schedules will vary. You mentioned a 4am start, a break in between and then afternoon/evening class. Could you give us a break down of times eg; I started at 4am, I had a break at x time, then I went back in at x time for this class and then left school at x time.

For my class, 4 students per instructor. We go up in the airplane 1:1 ratio. Example schedule: 8:30-10:30 flight, ground class 4:30-6:30. In between time between flight and ground I’m reviewing my flight, studying anything I missed as well as reviewing ground material before class. After class, read items that will be covered in next day flight.

Hey man great video and thanks for posting. Question, I am thinking of joining but I am in the military (not working with aircraft) and by the time I get out next year I’ll be 36 years old. Do you think this is too old to start or do you see students around the same age in the program?

Never to old! There are people from all age ranges, many coming from completely different careers like myself!

The student dorms on site were full last time I heard so you will have to find an apartment.

5 days a week. Generally you go to the ground classes with your class you start with.

So I got accepted but it says I have to be in one of the following categories, university entry point which means you have to be in school or have your bachelors. Professional flight training entry point Meaning you need your commercial License already. Experience build entry point meaning your already a CFI. UAX meaning I’m already employed with a regional carrier is that accurate? Or I can just come right out of high school with no experience?

Definitely not required, in fact I believe the dorms are full at the moment so you would have to find your own place.

Loans cover the entire course. Depends if you have a credit history or not. You may need a co-signer

Usually fly around 3-5 days a week depends on weather, plane availability. Days off depend on whatever days your instructor has off every instructor is different

Why not just go to college for aviation? There are plenty of schools you can study aviation and get your pilot licenses while enrolled in school. 4 year programs. Do that!

@@rsoxfan123 now days more and more airlines aren’t requiring 4 year degrees to combat shortages. Faster to get all your ratings in 1 year than spread out over 4 years
