yeah, giving yourself time constraints especially with game design is a recipe for stress I've found. :D It always takes at least twice as long as expected in my experience, usually 4x Your project looks cool, good luck with it!!! :) I've just started dabbling with Godot after about 10 years not making games. Kind of excited for it. :P

Question for you: what is your experience programming games? How long did it take you to become competent in making a game?

The only game I've ever technically finished is a super basic text-based turn based combat game against the computer, played in the console, written in Python. I am very new to programming. I wouldn't say I'm competent at game making at all (yet). Outside being new to programming, it's as I said in the video: dabbling with Blender and Unreal a number of times over the years but not really getting anything done.

@@StayBricked As a beginner aspiring to learn game dev, it is so incredibly refreshing to see your progress and beginning journey as well. Out of all of the game dev videos I've watched, I can confidently say that this one is one of the ones that has actually made me want to go straight back into making my game--it can be really overwhelming to try and watch videos that are for beginners, yet are obviously made by experts with expert-level game examples. Thank you for posting this.
