For the young people watching this, just get a job and look after your family. Don’t try to be big and hard, don’t wreck other peoples lives trying to bring yourself up.

How long were you in for?

Yeah I feel that bro. My trial is in 2026! I feel like I've got the sword of damocles dangling over my head.
@tommywolfe27062 ай бұрын
Your whole life is a trial, that sword will hang over your head in many ways over the course of your life. As long as you are alive, nothing has beaten you yet. Screw 2026, like Bruce Lee said "“It's like a finger pointing away to the moon. Don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all that heavenly glory.” Tomorrow is your day. Conquer it and let the rest of the subsequent days fall into place. 2026 is something you might not see. You could die in an accident tomorrow. Or in your sleep tonight. Be in the moment.

Thanks for sharing and it all makes sense. Its like the uncertainty can be awful on its own, almost like another form of punishment before serving your punishment

What you're describing there is anxiety.

It's true though. Once you know what's happening it's fine. It's the not knowing for months waiting on your court date that's the worst bit.

@user-rg6lv8jq3n Been in that exact situation many times. Thankfully I got my shit together now.

Jail or prison?
@Brocman2 ай бұрын
It's the same thing in the UK. We don't have Jails like the US. If you are deemed as a flight risk, or someone who is likely to reoffend whilst on bail, you will go to prison but on a remand wing.
@Slakebelton882 ай бұрын
@@Brocman interesting. Yes here in America you go to county jail and are transferred to a state penitentiary for felony charges after a couple months awaiting sentencing.
@Brocman2 ай бұрын
@Slakebelton88 yeah we don't have to pay for bail either. We either get it or we don't. I'm currently on bail awaiting trial.
