Thanks Big Apple! Yeah, I know - you're a PMG guy and you should be. Almost all of your notes are at the value where you need to go with PMG the preferred industry standard.

Those notes all look good and or have historical reasons fitting for them to be graded and preserved for history. I definitely welcome harder to come by notes to my collection in any condition too, so I at least have them. I do believe that you have made pretty good estimates on the grades of those notes, based on the grading section of The Book. Can't wait for the follow-up to see how they come back.

Thanks. The hardest part of submission is trying to grade the notes yourself to attach a value. I'm actually comfortable with lower grade notes (VF 30 and below). Once you get to 40 and above that gets really tricky. Thanks to my budget that's not a big problem! The notes should be back by late October according to PCGS Banknote stated timeline.

I currently grade 1000/1 at PCGS vs PMG. Pcgs turn around times and customer service is without a doubt the best in the business. You’re a bit harsh on your earlier type notes but I can agree with 75% of your assessment which for a collector is extremely knowledgeable. Great great video and you hit the nail on the head about Legacy.

Good Luck! I've read those PMG instructions also and came away shaking my head. Seems like a guy ought to be able to call them, talk to a human, ask what it costs, and throw 'em in the mail.

Agree - the main thing is the form does tell all and PMG should make that available so you know exact costs (to the best of your ability) before you lay out money. Thanks for the comment and we will see what happens!

LOL, sounds like a good decision to use PCGS, although PMG presently is the holder of choice. The PCGS holder definitely is cool looking

100% agree that PMG is the preferred choice. If my notes were up a notch or two in value I would have gone with PMG and waited the 4 months to get them back. But at my collections overall value it didn't make sense.

I had 8 notes of mine graded this past August at the coin and currency show in Rosemont by PMG. I just got back the last 5 notes two weeks ago. A nice collection. I have most of them, and they're already graded. I do believe you undergraded most of yours some. I think a lot of them will have a little higher grade than what you're thinking. Hopefully i'm right for your sake. Good luck. We'll find out in a couple of months.😊

Thanks GenX - according to their "schedule" on their website all should be back the last week of October...we will see. And as for the mail - yeah, I asked the Post Office person and they said that was my best bet with tracking and signature - basically anything can get lost!

Possibly due to PCGS not having access, or maintaining a population report on their data through to 2019. I went to the Legacy site after your video, they too indicate that the Population report DB is ‘in-progress’.

Legacy Grading kinda fell off a little, not sure if Jason Bradford lost some credibility.He started to PPQ,EPQ designation,and has a partner,Donald Rinkor,who owns his own rare coin company.There is another grading company,CGA(currency grading authentication), which is the first company to grade notes.They started in 1998.But now, from my understanding, they're like the ANACS of currency grading.I guess being the first at something doesn't make it the best,lol Good luck with your notes

Thanks for the comment and the information. As for CGA...to be honest they barely hit my radar and I didn't consider even investigating them - too far off the currency grading reservation. I would compare Legacy to ANACS at this point. Legacy is a distant third but still has some credibility in my opinion especially with lower value notes. But high grades - have seen plenty of times were Legacy has been 1-2 points higher on crossovers.
