Calvin, I need to just tell you this. YOU make me so happy. I've watched you grow up in front of my eyes on KZbin. I mean that in terms of emotional and psychological growth; you have reached a place that many others never reach in their entire lives. Each of us is tremendously valuable, beyond measurement, just as we are. If we are to become the person we are to be, we must acknowledge that value to ourselves. Man, you have done that and it makes me so happy........peace out.............Ray

Yes! You got it absolutely right: Marriage Equality! One of my pet arguments with so-called "Christian" and other opposition. It's so easy to portray it negatively when they can narrow it down to "just those homosexuals." Even though Vermont settled the issue here years ago, we still have our fair share of bigots, and it's great to know Vermont marriages will be recognized in all 50 states and the territories. I never knew St. Louis put that much work into PRIDE. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
@CalvinBremer19 жыл бұрын
Lar In Vermont I couldn't agree more. And yeah! St. Louis is a pretty large city. There were like 150,000+ people there I think.

Time you went back to class and paid attention. Science may have been able to sequence the human genome, but only about 2% is actually known as to function. 98% is still unknown territory, with not only few ideas but even fewer facts as to what individual genes do, but even less idea as to how they interact. There may be only 4 nucleotides to work with, but the combinations are functionally infinite. I stare at a wall sized display at Dartmouth-Hitchcock every day and see all the blank spots. And that wall long diagram is still only a fraction of the whole. So, if you're arguing "nature" versus "nuture,"my professional and personal opinion comes down as "nature " though I don't think I'll live long enough - nor will you or anyone else now alive - to be able to point at a specific spot and say "There!" for much of anything. My faith tells me there's probably only One Being who knows for sure, and that I will continue to take on faith (and if you're going to argue the Bible, I doubt we'd be able to decide on which version, much less which translation level, we'd agree on). It's a major breakthrough just to be able to identify a broken spot and to tie it to a known genetic condition today, so I'm very confident that full understanding is far, very far, in the future, if at all.
@larinvermont32719 жыл бұрын
***** I thought that would be obvious, as is my answer to your other question. And that's as far as I'm going in a medium which is not meant for such discussions.

Not a user You could always take a day trip to a city nearby (if there is one) that way you won't run into anyone you know. My friend did that with me....although she ended up on the front page of the newspaper and her parents were pissed. Lolz..

I know you've heard it before, but hang in there. It's not that long before you'll be old enough to choose to go, or not go, to PRIDE all on your own. And I can truthfully say it's better now than when I was 14 in a VERY small town, and it really is getting better all the time.

@JandyMandy99 жыл бұрын
0:20 the gay agenda lol! It was my first pride this year too, in the grand city of Toronto! It was massive and so much fun. :) You bring up some very important issues in this video: we will all of us struggle with our labels, none more so than members of the LGBT+ community, and it's an important battle. I know older guys who have won that battle and older guys who are still fighting. I've had friends who lost the battle, and I once had a friend who lost the war. It's a fine line to walk. :-/
@JandyMandy99 жыл бұрын
If you insist on the spectrum there is such a thing as being on the extreme, with no sexual attraction to females, whether you call it gay or not is irrelevant. Also, very importantly, on the discussion of labels, there is such a thing as IDENTIFYING as gay, which is pretty much BEING gay. Some may see a distinction. Most will not.

No, you were trolling. And when bested, you deigned to admit defeat. It was the noble thing to do. There is no other option. No one could be so terribly incorrect at every turn and AT THE SAME TIME proclaim that something as inconsequential as being gay is "wrong." What would be "wrong" is the ease with which such a person casts moral judgement without a whit of intellect. Therefore, you have to be a troll because I refuse to believe you are real.

***** Many species stick to one partner for life... Elephants visit the grave of loved ones for years after their death. So don't confuse things, you're the one who can't love. Plus don't forget we're all animals, unless you aren't... Maybe you shouldn't have skipped Biology ;) Hugs and lot of love! :)

First, you don't even know if I'm gay ahah Second, the only person here being destructive and wasting it's time trying to bring people down is you. Third, just be nice to people and live your life :) Last, unless you want to learn anything about being nice, caring for people or being gay, I will stop answering. With all do respect, bye :) "I don't know how people get so anti-something. Mind your own business, take care of your own affairs, and don't worry about other people so much" - Betty White

***** Would you call someone jumping from a car about to hit him an animal, for acting on instinct? Plus being gay is not about fuc****, fuc****, fuc*****... I probably do what any other person does any day... I play sports, I run, I hang out with friends (no, I'm not attracted to them, like you don't crave any woman you see), I help my family, I like driving, I enjoy a beer every now and then... I used to ride a motorbike... So tell me how different we are, besides the fact you like girls (I suppose) and I like guys? And I don't plan on forcing you to like guys (I don't have an "agenda", I just wanna live my life peacefully)

***** I can tell you from personal experience it is definitely not a choice... Why would someone choose to be gay when being straight is so much easier? Trust me, for so many years I wished I wasn't gay and I tried to change it... I understand where you're coming from (despite me being atheist) and I respect it :) I'm not here trying to undermine your religion or your beliefs, I was just trying to make you see that some people are gay and it IS tough before you accept it, so I think instead of trying to change people, we should support them and show them love... Too much suicide, too much depression everywhere... unfortunately! We are all Humans, we are all equal and no matter our beliefs, I think it's our place t be kind and try to help each other :)
