My FIRST reaction to a OTYKEN LIVE PERFORMANCE!

So far you've reacted to every Otyken song I've recommended. I appreciate that. I'm gonna say keep reacting to them but I'm not gonna say which songs. Any song you pick will be great. If you want live performance check out Pulse of the Earth concert in Moscow. You might even want to consider reacting to the entire concert in one video like you're doing with the Nightwish and Lacuna Coil albums. I am also enjoying those reactions. Otyken's lead singer is Azyan. You wondered about the size of the band. I could be mistaken but as I understand it they live in small rural villages. They still rely on hunting gathering and fishing as their main source of food. Not all band members may be available at all times due to being needed to help provide food for the village. I could be wrong about that but I've read something like that. Also in the beginning and possibly still they don't have a set membership in the group. Different people rotate in and out. You'll see between 6-12 people for various live or music videos. Another band I'd recommend is Warduna. They use mostly or all traditional instruments. They craft their own instruments using only materials, tools and techniques that would have been available to their ancestors hundreds of years ago. I think they are Norwegian but definitely Scandanavins. Otyken has modern vibes mixed withe traditional. Warduna is only traditional. My favorite song of theirs is Lyfjaberg (music video). Also I'd recommend their live performance of Helvegen with Aurora as special guest. I'm enjoying your channel.

There are 4 incarnations of this song - Percussion (Insrumental), Percussion Revolution, Wild Girls, and Pulse. All are great - favorite is Percussion Revolution (Taida lead singer). Unique music from this group, follwed them early on with the 1st singer, but have always had a few questions. Beginning of December will be some information about them and it may be disappointing to some. Nice to see someone react to this 12 min piece though👍

I think their more recent performance of Pulse is much better. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYXHeZSbp7KIm9E ) It's more modern and better arranged. This is an older version and more improvised (and kinda psychedellic), but still cool. The band members change every so often. You can see the history of the band on Wiki. They have a song called Ice Age ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaiyZXaoh96raKs ) which reminds me of a tribal older Pink Floyd track. I think it's a more interesting atmospheric track. They've grown into something really fabulous. Oh, and they are more versatile than you may think. They have a track called "Khan Blues" which has a strong electric guitar pop-blues sound driving the track. In some tracks they are more hip-hop. Some, more EDM. They are much more than "folk" music now. But that tis where their roots are. In the end, they will surprise you with every track -- which I find exciting and and a highly creative experience.
