My First Round of Even Par Ever | Can I do it?

During a recent round, I was even par through 17 holes. I stepped up to the 18th tee, and decided to record my last hole on what could be my first ever round of an even-par 72. And make no mistake, the 18th (a 433-yard, par 4) is the most difficult hole on the course. So the pressure was on. Can I do it? Can I finally shoot a 72? Watch this video to find out! Welcome to my KZbin Channel Golf Blog! My name is Matt Williams. I'm an amateur golfer that has only been playing golf consistently for a few years now. Last year I was about an 18 handicap. I was a 16 handicap to start 2020, and now am down to an 8.3. I started this golf channel for a variety of reasons. 1.) I've only done it a few times and it's the best feeling! The 18th at my home course isn't long, but requires an extremely accurate tee shot to have any chance at the green, and the nerves standing on that tee are intense.

Thanks Mark! Yeah, around hole 15 it started getting in my head, and was getting harder and harder to stay relaxed and focused. Pulled it off, just barely as you can see. Looking forward to the next benchmark! That’s so much Mark.

I shot level par 71 then next round 69 couldn't believe it, I go the course now full of confidence knowing what I am capable of as long as my swing behaves 😂

@@glenscott3083 “As long as the swing behaves”, there’s the key right there, eh mate? I had another guy on this video tell me he had never broken par, and then in his club championship, he went -1 back-to-back days. I feel like it’s a “dam” affect. Once the dam breaks, it all starts coming out. We will see. I followed that with a 77 and 79, which are all solid rounds below my handicap (that course rating and slope means that an 8 handicap should play it at a 82). But looking forward of hitting even, sorry, level par more often and maybe even attacking something under par.

Haven’t selected my irons yet Ryan. Still testing!!! I’m leaning towards the TaylorMade P770’s, but still have some more to test, and then start doing some head-to-head battles. Thanks so much!!!
