My first sounds through the beautiful Chase Bliss MOOD MKII

I’m playing spread triad guitar voicings through the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII with some added spice from their Generation Loss MKII. Most knobs stayed at 12 o’clock just to see where the middle of the road was. I enabled the MISO(mono in stereo out) and spread dipswitches, hopefully it comes through on this short piece through your headphones or sound system. I can’t wait to explore more and route left and right sides through Habit.

Im so excited to get one for my self I accidentaly fried my old one by hooking up a 12v power cable meant for my Novation Circuit RIP :( but im stoked to see that there is an upgraded version!!!!

Thanks for the video!! Does this have an option for stereo or just mono.. ? I love this company and have talked to Joal many times. I just always end up selling the pedals I get from Chase bliss.. kinda on the fence with this one.

@@NealCaen I don’t actually have Blooper, so this answer is purely based on the limited knowledge I have. The Blooper and MOOD seem like two different pedals to me. The Blooper being a looper with 40 sec max loop time and the MOOD being an always listening micro looper time stretcher with a secondary time based effects loop back side. I would say the MOOD, to be honest. As loopers go, the Blooper just doesn’t appeal to me. When it comes to loopers I love what Habit offers, an always on buffer with 3min of record time, overdubbing, two tapes heads essentially with the option to move on around in time and some added effects. Maybe you already have a Habit though, in that case definitely the MOOD over the Blooper.

How you use two Habits?

Since Habit is mono, if you have two, you can run your left channel through one Habit and your right channel through the other. I have them both synced with MIDI, so changing repeats on each one will change the divisions but they still stay in time. I’ll have to post a video making some noise through it.

the Mood, Blooper and Habit all have one thing in common, they all confuse the crap out of me. Never owned one, just the concept and differences arent really that clear as something like say a phaser.

I couldn’t agree with you more, to be honest. I think the intention is for them to serve as inspiration machines and idea generators. Sure, you can try and understand what this does when you turn this and flick this, but it’s more fun to just experiment with these types of pedals. Ultimately I have a base understanding of the pedals, I have found making a video helps me to study. That said I plan on posting a few more sound experiments soon, maybe it will help someone dive deeper as well.

@@757SoundLab Yea, I will def stay tuned. more interested in a stereo Mood than anything....I think lol I just got the Gen Loss Mkii, my first CB pedal. Love that pedal and the build quality seems great, I think the metal knobs CB uses are about the best I have seen on a pedal.

@@masterofreality230 quality is top notch and consistent, I agree. I think the Gen Loss is a good choice if you’re hesitant to deep dive just yet. Although you could mess with randomization settings on their Max for Live device and get some pretty fun stuff easily as well.

@@757SoundLab I have never used Ableton, and I dont really know what the cheapest way to go about getting Max for Live is. I know I am not spending $500 on it thouigh! I did see someone made a browser based editor for the Gen loss, but I still have to get a midi to 1/4" to try it, and I just had to buy a few Y splitters lol I do want to get away from using those little pins on the back, kind of a pain when you are trying get into playing.
