Hi I’m Jenay I’m 54 and about to do my first Spartan Dekafit, I did my first Spartan Sprint in Sept. 2018and I loved it.It was in a stadium,lots of steps “easy”. I wore a cyclists shirt with the three pockets in the back where I carried my weightlifting gloves that when I need them I can keep running and reach back and get them 😉🤩 and the fabric was so breathable that it felt like I was wearing nothing but my sports bra.So if you don’t have one of those shirts just stick one glove under each shoulder strap of your sports bra and no shirt for easy transition in getting to those gloves and make sure they go in a spot that is tight but comfortable. Work on your grip strength,do dead hangs not just pull ups.Thank you for your video😍🤗

Wow! You're such an inspiration. That's actually such a good tip, cycling jerseys would make great packing for all the fuel. Will definitely that one out once the races open back up here :D Good luck in your future races!!

And thanks for watching! There aren’t any designated “rest stops” other than water stations but you are free to go at your own pace and stop/walk whenever you need to. Hope you have a great time!!

I didn't! But I would recommend it for the rope climb since your hands get pretty tired, plus the ropes get super muddy. So getting gloves would really help with the grip.
