Hi Chris, I am an old Srilankan who left Srilanka many many years ago. For the last fourteen years I lived in Southern California (Bradbury). I couldn't believe when you showed the homeless area in downtown LA where we feed about 150 for the mothers day each year. I cannoy imagine why they love living in tents when there are plenty of opportunities here. One thing I must tell you that you helped Srilanka so much by helping their tourist industry at a time when they desperately needed. Some places you visited, even I have not visited in my 24 years. You are so nice and understand and appreciate the country as well as the hospitable people of Srilanka. Good luck and love to meet you in LA or Srilanka one day.❤

Your words are so positive and makes so much energy in us, You will definitely enjoy the stay and coming back to this island frequently for sure, 6 months ago I was there for 1 month, just the definition of paradise.. try hot battered cuttle-fish (calamari), Roasted chicken kottu with EGB(Elephant house ginger beer) which is like ginger Ale and Lion Larger Beer with devilled chicken or any seafood item.. Must visit Bird Park Hambantota, Man Made Ridiyagama Safari Park, Pigeon Island National park, Kumana National Park, Ella Rock, Little Adams peak, Nuwaraeliya, Early morning visit to Sigiriya, Evening visit to pidurangala rock , Diyaluma Falls hike and sooo many beaches and mountain hikes.. Love to see your more and more vlogs from this beautiful island and refresh my memories till my next winter vacation to Srilanka.. Cheers 🖤

Bro I live in US but I am Sri lankan.Go to galla,hikaduwa beach,ella,and kandy.Lot of tourists hang out areas that I stated above,plus lot of things to be explored n kandy.Take train..it is cheaper and fun.have fun and be safe.i never been to cali..but I been to Las Vegas and Laredo,Mexico.

Super Good video friend. Small request: specially when eating Sri Lankan food you have to mix all things with your fingers and eat them using fingers too. The cutlery set is not useful on Sri Lankan food. When you mix all things and eat them with fingers the more taste you get.

Normally the hotels are offering a free breakfast buffets, not like this very simple dishes. I recommend you to travel weligama beach front down south for the peaceful stay and surfing, if you are a surfer, Ella for its scenic beauty and trekking on the little Adam's peak and Ella rock. The Uber drivers prefer cash payment first and they like the long distance, after the pandemic their services are almost nil. Even we find it difficult to book a Uber in the city limits of Colombo and especially after 10 pm. As a freelance traveller , I hope you will have alternative ways to reach your desired destination around our Island Nation. I have been to Negombo so many times This city was dominated by Tamils We did have fancy bus service They call us come & pick them up Our service is always full from point Pedro to Colombo . Sometimes we do but not always Even Jaffna Tamils call us . But no way for us to satisfy everyone Our service is daily

Chris, you can't have a favorite country in the places you have visited. God would be angry if you choose one over the other. 😁 The world is a beautiful place. I tried to imagine what the world was like when it was just Adam and Eve and noone else. It was beautiful but those 2 had to mess it up by being disobedient. Humans were not meant to live in slums. God didn't create a slum world. Greed, political instability causes poverty and robs people of enjoying the natural beauty of their country. It's a beautiful world.
