The great Rishis, Acharyas who gave their entire lifes to contribute to Sanathana Dharma what you call Hinduism had lead strict lifestyles as per the Shruti and Smriti texts of their predecessors. A good video and as you said it must have been a good learning experience. It was nice to watch you performing a puja (offering to god) and If I am permitted to tell this, we Indian never use left hand especially for eating purpose. You took theertha (a spoonful of liquid offer to god) by left hand. Reason behind non-use of left hand is that itz unhygienic, that's all.
