Thank you for posting this. I was thinking about buying a Princeton. Maybe this would be better? I’m going to watch the build next.

Well Tony you have a lot of work to do. My advice to you is to use a marker pen. Mark very step you do building the amp. Then you might hear a fine sounding amplifier when you plug it in. If you miss any solder place the amp wont work. Check every step (2X). I build the 5E3 two years ago and now I'm building the 1164. It takes me long time you will finisch yours before I do. So good luck Tony.

Yes me too! I watched so many videos on these kits and not one did a good job of showing how it sounded after it was done.

My neighbor makes custom amplifiers ( he made a few for Alex Lifeson ) so alot of those parts look familiar, lol Morris Amplifiers

Good look with building your amp Tony. A good soldering iron and high quality solder make a big difference to how well it goes togeather and prevents dry joints. If you can solder well, this has to be a great way to have a hand bulit one without a hefty price tag. Looking forward to seeing your progress.🙂👍
